Change the Degree of Comparison in the following sentences without altering the sense:-

1. A horse is more intelligent than an ass. (Comparative)


An ass is not as intelligent as a horse. (Positive)
2. A wise enemy is better than a foolish friend. (Comparative)
A foolish friend is not as good as a wise enemy. (Positive)
3. Mumbai is the best sea-port in India. (Superlative)
Mumbai is better than any other sea-port in India. (Comparative)
No other sea-port in India is as good as Mumbai. (Positive)
4. Disraeli was the greatest statesman of England. (Superlative)
Disraeli was greater than any other statesman of England. (Comparative)
No other statesman of England was as great as Disraeli. (Positive)
5. There are few districts as fertile as Hoshiarpur. (Positive)
Hoshiarpur is more fertile than most other districts. (Comparative)
Hoshiarpur is one of the most fertile districts. (Superlative)
