Isometric Lesson Plan

The document outlines a lesson plan for teaching orthographic projection. It includes objectives to explain orthographic drawing principles, construct orthographic projections of objects, and develop spatial reasoning skills. The lesson plan details materials needed, teaching strategies such as discussion and multimedia presentations, learning activities like drawing orthographic projections and worksheets, and assessments including quizzes. The goal is for students to understand how to represent 3D objects in 2D orthographic views and communicate technical drawings.

I have here a template. Use this in making your orthographic
projections.

Activity 1

Give an example of a pictorial object and let your students do the

sketch orthographic projection. Allow the students to practice in
small groups. Allow the students to work together to answer
questions about a real part based on dimensioned sketches (or
drawings) of the part. Walk around as they do their activity.

Then demonstrate on the board the principles and guidelines in

making the orthographic projections. Explain the process as you
go to emphasize understanding and comprehension.

Activity 2

Distribute the hand out worksheets. Discuss the worksheet to

the class. Let the students complete the worksheet
independently as the teacher walks around giving assistance
where needed.

Discuss the answer on the board.

Discussion

Please watch the video to fully understand what orthographic

projection is.

We need to ask ourselves what is Orthographic Projection?

Basically it is a way a representing a 3D object on a piece of
paper. This means we make the object become 2D.

Note the symbol for first angle orthographic projection. This is

important information for the person interpreting the drawing

because if you examine the diagram below you will note that in

I wonder if you could provide students with purposive assignments instead of a usual what
questions. Make the task very engaging.
Wow! Nice integration of MM. Just in the right place.

It’s a good kind of lesson plan, it will make student cactc h up there attention
Kindly add a video clips on orthographic projection, nice work!
I wonder if you could add more interactive activities online. I know that you can find one on the
web.
Wow, Congratulations for detailed output. It made look like the complete lesson already.
Wow! It’s really a well-thought plan. I like how your objectives are stated.
Go for it since you have a complete and understandable lesson plan.
