15 Coping Skills Assignments
Are any of these potentially unhealthy? If so, What do you need to look out for?
What are some new coping skills you’re going to try? Hang a copy of this list
somewhere you can see it frequently.
List the places where you may need to use coping skills regularly: (ie work, home,
with your children). Make sure you have at least 2-3 skills that work in each situation.
For example you can’t do a full Yoga class at work, but you could do some deep
breathing.

Self-Care Assignments:
Make a plan to take care of your body, what changes do you need to make?
Choose just one small change and set a goal to work on that for 30 days. Some examples
of this change could be: wearing makeup every day, eating a healthy breakfast, flossing
your teeth, etc. You can use a calendar or a habit tracker to keep track of your goal. Once
it has become habit, you can choose another one.

Choose a time each week (ie Saturday afternoon) to plan your upcoming week
ahead, take the time to schedule in some self care throughout the week. For example, plan
a lunch date with your friends or schedule in some time to go for a walk or work on your
art project.
