Objectives:
This module will come up in the general objectives that will hook the attention of students or
learners for better understanding of each discussion. In this part, the objectives will guide the
learners to accomplish the goals of the lesson. At the end of this module the students were able to;

 Introduce community grounding;


 Identify the different program settings and its uses; and
 Construct a concept paper to be used in the community.

(The students will set their mind about the lesson. On this part, the objectives will
guide the learners to accomplish the goals of the lesson)

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES


 Condition the self in community engagement.
 Design and Plan a program that are possible to implement.

INTRODUCTION
"Community Organizing is a democratically-governed long-term process by which
people are brought together to act in their common self-interest to identify community
problems and solutions, and to take action by engaging existing power structures to make
those solutions a reality.”

This Module has 4 component


1. Encouragement: (To condition and motivate the learners for the
lesson. On this part, learners will prepare themselves to absorb new
knowledge, and information.)
2. Understanding and Analyzing. (The proper discussion of new knowledge
and information. To deliver the lesson, the utilization of techniques and
instructional references will be given such as videos, text and pictures.)

3. Planning and Application. (The students will plan action and


preformed the activities to assimilate new learnings. In this part the students
will respond to the problems and issues to their newly acquired information,
knowledge, skills, and behavior.)

4. Nurturing. (In order to enhance knowledge, retention of the newly


acquired information and knowledge must be synthesized. The learners
will further elaborate the knowledge they learned, in writing to summarize
all the ideas, the student will write their reflection in ONE PAPER
EVALUATION (OPE) in order to self-actualize the acquired knowledge
and information.) (Look for the copy of OPE at the end of this module)

III. PLANNING AND APPLICATION

Activity 1: Planning
Instruction: Using the Gantt Chart Model, design a timeline of your program/project
proposal from preparation to evaluation of your activity. Indicate all the target outcomes, results and
products of your plans.

Activity 2: Plotting
Instruction: Using your approved project proposal plot the activity from preparation
day to actual performance of your activity. Indicate the date, time and day number. Use the example
table below.

Activity 3: Grounding
Instruction: Conduct a survey on your target community to develop for our grounding.
Interview at least 30 Families in the community that are need assistance. Use our Community
Profiling Sheet.

Activity 4: Partnership
Instruction: List down all the potential partners that you need to top-up to help your
program development possible and write what will be the possible assistance they can give.
