Magnetic Fields of Coils: Lab Report 7

The document summarizes a lab report on magnetic fields of coils. The experiment aimed to demonstrate how magnetic field strength varies at different points near inductors, and to observe if the magnetic field inside a solenoid follows theoretical predictions. Key results included: 1) The theoretical magnetic field line for a single coil fit the experimental data reasonably well, though some differences were observed due to measurement limitations. 2) For two coils separated by 10.5cm, the theoretical and experimental bending trends matched overall but differences existed where the actual distance deviated from theoretical assumptions. 3) The calculated magnetic field strength inside the solenoid matched well with experimental data.

1. What is the purpose of the experiment?

Demonstrating the magnetic field in various point don't have a similar worth. The
distance of those points in the trial are influenced by the magnetic of inductor.
We simply make almost no impact to the worth of the examination, analyze the
field from the Helmholtz coins at the appropriate partition of the coin radius to
the field from coins isolated at not exactly or more than the coin radius.
Eyewitness the magnetic field inside the solenoid fulfill with the recipe or not.
2. Briefly describe the experiment in your own words?
First, we turn on the voltage machine and set it to 1V. we move the magnetic
sensor go through the inductor to make the magnetic field and recorded the chart
of the magnetic field on Data Studio program. Making the diagram to center and
afterward set the formula by z = x – d, after that we fill in worth of capacitance,
inductance, resistance, distance of the inductor.
We utilize the savvy zoom to discover the most extreme voltage worth of the
chart and record to the report.
In the second experiment, we simply need to add 1 more inductor series with the
past one in the first experiment and the distance of the subsequent inductor has
appeared in the lab guide.
For the third test, we simply change the radius which is smaller than the radius
from 2 past test and see what occur inside and outside the coin form that
contrasting with the theory.
For the solenoid explore we simply supplant the inductor by the solenoid and
methodology the test precisely first test.
3. Magnetic fields of a single coil (attach the graph describing the magnetic field strength along
the axis perpendicular to the coil plane and through the center of the coil in the report): Base
on your graph, does the theoretical line fit the experimental data everywhere? Explain.

Structure the diagram we can see that the theory magnetic field line isn't equivalent
to the experiment information we recording by Data Studio, yet additionally
understand the bend of the experiment is almost fit with the hypothetical chart, so it
is very satisfactory. The justification the diverse between the experiment
advertisement hypothetical magnetic field line is: First when measure the magnetic
field sensor doesn't go 100% corresponding with the coil axis. Second explanation
is the influencing structure the climate magnetic field around the coillike computer,
cellphone. Third reason is the instrument we use: magnetic field sensor, the
DataStudio software, the ScienceWorkshop not perform perfectively

4. Magnetic fields of two coils (attach the graph describing the magnetic field strength along the
axis perpendicular to the coil planes and through the center of the coils in a case d 10.5cm
in the report): Base on your graph, do the theoretical lines fit the experimental
data everywhere? Explain.

Case d = 10.5 cm

Base on the graph we can see that the theoritical magnetic field line doesn't fit to the
experiment recorded by the DataStudio software however in the overall the bend of
the two diagrams is the very fit together.
The reason for this distinction of them is while method the experiment the distance
of 2 coils is not equal to half of the radius or the worth of radius we supplement to
the recipe to make the theoritical lines aren't right.

5. Magnetic fields of a solenoid (attach the graph describing the magnetic field strength as a
function of location in the report): Calculate the magnetic field strength inside the solenoid.
Compare with the value found from your experimental data.
