Martha Stewart or her full name, Martha Helen Stewart is an American retail television
entrepreneur, writer, and personality. She is the founder of the Martha Stewart Living
Omnimedia (MSLO) company which has achieved numerous successes through various
ventures in business, publishing, broadcasting, merchandise sales, and e-commerce. Martha
Stewart Living Omnimedia Company (MSLO) is a fixed matrix organization for her lifestyle
business. It was founded in 1997 and is a diversified media and merchandising company owned
by Marquee Brands LLC since April 2019. On October 19, 1999, her magazine and television
program aired on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and she became a homemade female
millionaire first.

Among Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) company's products are Martha
Stewart Living, Martha Stewart Weddings, and Everyday Food. Martha Stewart herself is the
publisher of Martha Stewart Living magazine, hosts two of her syndicated television programs,
Martha Stewart Living, and has videos in Martha Stewart’s Cooking School and Martha Bakes.
It is distributed to newspapers throughout the U.S. through the New York Times Syndicate. In
addition, the company also offers books, and her books are bestsellers. Furthermore, she also
plans to manufacture high-quality Martha Stewart products in various lifestyle categories
available through select retailers, including The Home Depot, Macy’s, JCPenney, Staples,
PetSmart, Michaels, and Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores.

In June 2003, there was the fall of Martha Stewart, in which she was indicted on nine
counts, including charges of obstructing justice over the sale of ImClone shares. A few hours
later, Martha Stewart resigned as head and CEO of the company. The following year in March,
she was convicted on charges of obstructing justice and lying to the government about the
timing of the sale and then jailed for five months beginning in October. In 2011, she rejoined
the board of Martha Stewart Living and signed a sale agreement with J.C. Penney. In 2014,
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) signed a 10 -year licensing agreement with
publishing company Meredith Corp. to take over the sales, distribution, and production of
Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Wedding magazines. In 2015, Sequential Brands
Group signed an agreement to acquire Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia as the company has
suffered consecutive annual losses every year since 2003 except 2007.
