Proxy Setup

Proxy Setup

You must first configure your proxy settings for your environment to be able to access the stage URLs.

MOBILE DEVICES
iOS:
 Go to Settings
 Turn on Wi-Fi and Connect to a Wi-Fi spot
 Proceed into the Wi-Fi Network configuration (blue arrow)
 Scroll down and select "Manual" under the "HTTP Proxy" section
 Enter:
o Server: proxy.utest.com
o Port: 9999
 Save

Android (version 3.1+):


 Go to Settings
 Proceed into "Wireless & Networks"
 Turn on Wi-Fi and go into "Wi-Fi Settings"
 Connect to a Wi-Fi spot
 Once connected ‘long press’ (press and hold) the Wi-Fi spot you connected too
 Click on ‘Modify Network’
 Scroll down and checkbox ‘Show Advanced Options’
 Scroll down again, if needed
 Here you have a "Proxy Settings" option. Select it.
 Click on Manual
 Enter:
o Proxy Hostname (Server): proxy.utest.com
o Proxy Port: 9999
 Save

DESKTOP BROWSERS / PC
 Firefox:
o Tools -> Options -> Advanced
o Network Tab
o Configuration -> Settings button
o Select the 'Manual Proxy Configurations' radio button
o Enter:
 Server: proxy.utest.com
 Port: 9999
o Save

 Internet Explorer
o Tools -> Internet Options
o Connections -> LAN Settings
o Enter:
 Server: proxy.utest.com
 Port: 9999
o Save

 Chrome
o Customize -> Options -> Change Proxy Setting
o LAN Settings
o Enter:
 Server: proxy.utest.com
 Port: 9999
o Save

 Safari
o General Settings Gear Logo -> Advanced
o Proxies -> Change Settings
o Connections -> LAN Settings
o Enter:
 Server: proxy.utest.com
 Port: 9999
o Save

With the browser configured to use the uTest Proxy, just try any URL, for example:
http://www.google.com and the Proxy should ask for a username and password.

When prompted for the login information, enter the


following user credentials:
Username: utest
Password: proxy
