A-Level Enrollment Information

Information on A-Level Enrollment
1. Admissions
Admissions for A-Level are undertaken twice every year as follows:
For the January intake Application forms are available from October to December,
While for the June intake enrollment is done between January and June
Lessons start every second week of the opening month January/June respectively.
A non-refundable processing fee of K150 is payable upon application.

2. Subjects on offer
ATCU offers training in Science subjects only. These are Biology, Chemistry,
Mathematics, and Physics.
Mathematics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects. Biology and Physics are optional
subjects.
Subject Combination
For Students pursuing Medicine: Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and or Physics
For Students pursuing Engineering; Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
All classes are conducted from Monday to Friday between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs

3. Eligibility/Qualification
Minimum qualifications to the A-Level program is credit and above i.e. Grades 1-6 for
ECZ exams. For other examining bodies A-C grades. The subjects we consider for
admission are English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Science.
4. Fees
Tuition fee per subject is K2200 (No discount up to 2 subjects)
Tuition fee for 3 Subjects per term is K5940 (Initially you should pay K6600 but we offer
a discount of K660 for 3 subjects).
Tuition fee for 4 subjects per term is K7500 (On 4 Subjects payment is at K8800 we
offer a discount of K1, 300.00)

In addition to the fees a student is required to pay a caution deposit fee of K800 ONCE at
the beginning of the program to cover for text books and lab apparatus. This fee is
refundable at the end of the program when our text books are returned and our lab
equipment left in good condition.

Tuition fee is paid directly to any Atlas Mara Branch. The ATCU bank account number is
given to the successful applicant upon receiving the letter of admission. The ATCU office
does NOT handle cash nor Cheque.

5. Examinations
Examinations are written in 2 parts for the full A-Level program to be completed. In each
subjects are 6 units and the first 3 units are written in January while the remaining 3 are
written in June.
Examination fees are paid directly to the EDEXCEL (the examiners) through British
Council Lusaka. It is the responsibility of the candidate to make sure that examinations
fees are paid on time. Examination forms are collected at the ATCU office by the student
when available.
