These Virtual Hackathon Funnel Guides are meant to be used as a

checklist while you are building your funnels. It is important to know that
not everyone builds their funnels exactly the same and the beautiful thing
about ClickFunnels is you are free to customize your funnels however you’d
like. The format and steps used may not be EXACTLY the same for every
single funnel you build. These guides will help give you a great idea on how
you might build your funnel, but you are always able to customize them for
your own needs.

These guides are created by the Virtual Hackathon Team. The Virtual
Hackathon Team does live “Hackathons” every single Day (Twice a day M-F)

 Lead Magnet Funnels

Lead Magnet Funnels are the Marketing classic of funnels. Every business
needs leads so that you can convert them to customers and Lead Magnet
Funnels are a FANTASTIC way to get TONS OF LEADS!

Lead Magnet Funnels are used to find people within your Niche that are
likely to be interested in what you have to offer. You are going to give them
something in exchange for their email address so that you can start build-
ing a relationship with them, build trust with them and help them see the
type of value you offer. Doing this will make it a no brainer for them to be-
come your customer when you later present them with a paid offer.

To Build a Lead Magnet Funnel, we just need to create a simple two step
funnel that will capture their email and then give them some next steps to
follow to obtain the asset you promised them.

Once we capture their email, we can send them all kinds of automated
emails, sending them to places that we publish content, giving them value
and then eventually sending them to some of our paid offers.

There are 3 main pieces to building this funnel and having it all automated.

 The Front End Funnel

The Front End piece to this funnel is simple. Just an Optin Page (Also known
as a Squeeze Page) and a Thank You Page.

Once You choose a template to start with, you’ll want to do the following
steps:

Funnel Settings
• Update Funnel Name
• Update Domain
• Update SMTP
• Update Favicon

Things to do on every page

• Check ending path that shows up in browser (gear under page preview)
• Create and Save a Header/Footer to apply to each page (huge time saver)
• Update design and copy of the page
• Update SEO Meta Data
• Check Settings>>General>> Search Engines
• Double Check Automation tab of funnel step

 The Optin Page
(Squeeze Page)

This should be a simple clean page, with a great headline that creates tons
of curiosity, shows what the asset is, without giving away too much, and
tells the visitor exactly what they need to do. (Fill in the form to get their
gift)

This is the page you will drive all of your traffic to. All you need to do on this
page is the items in “Things to do on every page.”
*Note - drive traffic to your funnel step url

To do list:
• Complete everything listed in “Things to do on Every Page”
• Set Input element “Input Type” to “Email Address”
• Edit button Action on CTA Button to “Submit Order/Submit Form
• Connect Registration List to this step (Do this after you’ve created your list)

 The Thank You Page

This is the page they will be taken to after opting in on your optin page. On
This page you will congratulate them on signing up, provide them with a
way to download the asset and give them some next steps to take.

Usually these next steps will send them to another funnel where you are
selling something or send them to a platform that you consistently publish
content on. Examples are your Facebook Group, Youtube Channel, Podcast
or Blog. Wherever you publish, you want them to get onto those platforms
so that they can become familiar with you and start to build trust with you.
This will make selling infinitely easier in the future.

To do list:
• Complete everything listed in “Things to do on Every Page.”
• Set a button with the action to go to the url of the asset.
• Set a button with the action to go to the url of your FB Group, YT Channel,
• Podcast or Blog.

 The Lists

When visitors to your funnel take certain actions on the pages in your fun-
nel, you can automatically add them to different lists inside your ClickFun-
nels account. Once you have them on lists you can run all those contacts
through different automation sequences

For this funnel, it’s nice and simple! You will only need to create 1 list. A list
of everyone who gives you their email to claim their asset.

The Optin List

“Optin List”

This will be a list of everyone who fills in the form on the first step of the
funnel. They provide you their email address and you provide them with
their asset. When they provide their email, it automatically creates a con-
tact profile in your ClickFunnels account and if we set up our optin page
correctly, they will also automatically be added to our Optin list!

To do list:
• Create the Optin List. (As a Static List)
• Connect the List to the Optin Page.

 The Follow Up Funnel

Once you have your Front End Funnel Built, list created and the two con-
nected. You can then connect your List to a Follow Up Funnel to automate
emails to every contact that gets onto your optin list.

You can build these from scratch, but to make it even easier, we have some
Follow Up Funnel Email Campaigns available for you inside of FunnelFlix!

The Soap Opera Sequence

The Soap Opera Sequence Follow Up Funnel is a nice easy way to nurture
your new leads on the road to turning them into customers. It gives you
great ways to send your new leads over to the platforms you are publishing
content on, provide tons of value to your new leads, and it is also an excel-
lent way to start building trust and a relationship with your new leads!

To do list:
• Upload the SO Sequence to your account from List Building Secrets indie of
FunnelFlix.
• Connect Your Optin List to the Soap Opera Sequence Follow Up Funnel.
• Edit the copy on each email so that they make sense for you and your business.
• Edit the links in each email so they go to the pages you want to send your
leads to.
• Make each FUF step live.
