Useful hints
Hint 1: with introduction of new SAPGUI 7.60 version, the saplogon.ini technology will
not be supported by the vendor SAP SE anymore.
Siemens is switching to the new XML environment for SAPGUI. That means,
saplogon.ini file will be replaced by SAPUILandscape.xml.
Unfortunately, your previous favourites and shortcuts in SAPGUI 7.50 cannot be
taken over into the new XML environment.
5
Therefore, you are kindly asked to populate your favourites and shortcuts in SAPGUI
one time/once again.
Please note, user favourites and shortcuts inside SAP systems are NOT affected.
Hint 2: with introduction of new SAPUILandscape.xml file for SAPGUI 7.60 edition,
the NON-SSO entries of SAP systems are removed, due to sharpen cybersecurity.
(For some SAP systems the NON-SSO entries will be still available as exceptions)
In case, if you need NON-SSO Logon, then:
• please, activate first so-called emergency modus “encryption only” of SAP
Secure Login Client per right-mouse click
• Secondly, process right-mouse click over the SAP system entry in SAPGUI,
where you would like to log on and select there “SNC Logon Without Single
Sign-On” (like in example below)
Now, you can access to SAP system with a temporarily generated password provided
by dedicated system basis teams.
Hint 3: the default SAPGUI Theme in 7.60 version is “Belize Theme”, which changes
entire visual design of the application.
6
However, if you are familiar for example to the previous “SAP Signature Theme”, then
you can change Themes in the SAPGUI Options. Just open SAPGUI Options and under
Visual Design → Theme Settings →Theme Selection (on the right) select your Theme
desired.
Do not forget to click on “Apply” button to confirm your changes in SAPGUI options.
Hint4: in SAPGUI Options under SAP Logon Options →Configuration Files you can
change the behavior of your local SAPGUI application, while caching the
SAPUILandscape.xml file.
Just select a radio button on “Update cache only in an interval of [hours]” and type
there your preferred interval in hours (up to 9999 is possible)
7
Doing so, you tell your SAPGUI application to look for latest updates in the
SAPUILandscape.xml only after your preferred interval in hours is over.
Do not forget to click on “Apply” button to confirm your changes in SAPGUI options.
