1.0 PURPOSE
1.1 This method statement outlines the construction methodology and safety /
environmental procedures for the effective completion of all finishing works
under this contract.
2.1 The works covered by this method statement is the successful / skillful completion
of the finishing works in all the aspects associated with this contract. These
finishing works are not limited to the following:
1.) Cement / sand rendering to
walls 2.) Wall and door painting
3.) Floor and wall
tiling 4.) Epoxy
floor painting
3.0 SAFETY
3.1 All safety measures shall be in accordance with W12006-HSE-001, HSEW Plan
4.0 ENVIRONMENTAL
6.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
Fhe Construction ñfanager and Supervisor are responsible for ensuring that the works are
carried out in accordance with the plans, specification and workmanship requirement, in a
safe working environment. They are also responsible for ensuring that the workforce are
informed of and comply with the quality and HSE requirements of the works undertaken.
The QA/QC ñfanayer shall be responsible for the required submittals and for ensuring that
this procedure is properly executed. He is also responsible for documenting and controlling
concessions, deviations and non-conformances in accordance with the relevant project
procedures mentioned in Sec. 5.0 above. He is also responsible for the production and
maintenance of the relevant Quality Control documents and their timely availability to the
parties involved.
7.0 GENERAL
7.1 This finishing works in all the aspects of this contract shall comply strictly with
international standards, regulations, procedures for installations and acceptable in
quality to our client.
8.0 MATERIALS
In this case, the materials pertaining to a particular aspect of the finishing work shall
be enumerated step by step.
2.1) Primer
2.2) Emulsion paint for
wall 2.3) Gloss paint for
doors
9.1 In this sequence of works, the various aspects of the finishing works
shall be analyzed as with the materials.
Construction methodology in every aspect of the finishing works shall follow strictly,
the standard procedures and specifications in order to achieve a high quality of
finished work.
This construction method is explained here for every aspect of the job as per this
contract.
b.) The wall surface is rendered with mixture of Ardex B10 and water of light
thickness and well spread, smoothed to avoid swollen and or dented
surfaces.
c.) In the case of cast in situ surfaces as the case may be, the
thickness is increased to achieve the desired level.
d.) Corners, grooves and confined areas are well dressed.
