CHAPTER I.
In this lesson, you are going to learn about expressions of introducing self. Before
introducing yourself, usually you have to greet someone in formal form and informal form.
In greeting people yu have to be polite and respect them.

Introducing, devided into two forms, there are Formal introduction, and Informal

3. Leaving
In leaving part, devided into two parts:
a. Pre closing, example pre closing:
I must go, I have to go, It’s time to go, nice to meet you, good to see you, pleased to meet

b. Closing, example of closing:
See you, good bye, I will see you then, bye, thank you for your attention.

B. Language Features ( Unsur Kebahasaan )

1. Simple Present tense
a. Simple present tense with “be” ( to-be), formula ( s + to be + adj/adv )
1) We are tenth grade

b. Simple present tense with verb, formula ( s + V1( jika subjeknya he/she/ it,
V+s/es/ies) + adverb )

Sky : “maybe, the workplace is big, and I rarely go around.”
Sam : “maybe…by the way my name is Sam, what’s is your name?”
Sky : “Hi sam, my name is Sky, nice to meet you.”
Sam : “Nice to meet you too Sky.”
2. Rina meets her classmate Eko, in the cinema and she introduces him to her father
Eko : “Hi Rina!”
Rina : “Hi Eko! You’re here.”
Eko : “Yes, I’m here because my favorite movie is season 2, who are you coming
with?”
Rina : “With my father, that’s my father.”
Father : “Rina this is your ticket.”
Rina : “Thank you father, let me introduce myfriend father, He is my friend, his
name is Eko.”
Eko : “My name is Eko sir, nice to meet you.”
Father : “I’m Rina father, nice to meet you too Eko.”
3. Cintya meets her teacher in the market and she greets the teacher.
Cintya : “Good morning teacher!”
Teacher: “Good morning Cintya, who are you coming with?”
Cintya : “With my mom teacher, anything can I help?”
Teacher: “It’s okay, I just brought apple, thank you for offering help.”
Cintya : “Okay, Have a great day teacher.”
Teacher: “You too, see you later in school.”
Cintya : “See you later teacher.”
4. You meet your new friend in your class.
Me (Felix), new friend (peter)
Felix : “Hi my name is Felix, what’s is your name.”
Peter : “Hi Felix, my name is Peter.”
Felix : “If you need help, I’m ready to help you.”
Peter : “Thank you Felix, sorry if troublesome.”
Felix : “No problem, now you’re my friend.”
