Education is a process of learning that takes place through various stages from preschool to university. It is important for individuals, communities, and countries. Lack of education can occur due to poverty, distance from schools, or lack of priority. Consequences include lower living standards, increased crime, and health issues. Several organizations work to provide education for all, including NGOs that fund school projects for low-income children, community programs like free preschool, and UNESCO which promotes education as a basic human right and leads global efforts for inclusive education.

Education for all.

Key Question: -

To what extent has education have impacted a person’s life and its consequences without it?

1. What is education?
Education is a process of learning or acquiring knowledge, skills, values and many more. It takes place in
various areas such as schools, learning centers, and especially at home with the help of educators or
teachers but, learners can also educate themselves at home which is usually known as “Homeschooling”
or “Home Education”. Education is divided into different stages: preschool, primary school, secondary
school and then college, university or apprenticeship.

Importance of education.
“Education makes man a right thinker and a correct decision-maker”- anonymous.

Personal perspective: -

It is important for an individual to have a quality education to improve its knowledge and skills in order
to have a purposeful life and secure a decent and high paid job in the future. Education is the most
important aspect in a person’s life especially, to scanty families where no riches can be passed on from
their ancestors.

Local perspective: -

Education is important as it integrates people into society and teach them values and morals. It acts like
a bridge connecting different people, forming a better community and teamwork. This can be achieved if
everyone is well educated and is taught well manners and right conduct.

National perspective: -

The National Agenda of the UAE is set for the coming years; its main agenda is to increase the
educational standards of the country making it one of the best in the world. The UAE aims for all schools
and universities to be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to help the students shaping their minds
and be involved into newer technologies together with other countries. There will also be investments
to promote preschools, as this plays an important role in children’s personality in order to compete with
other students from all over the world and develop the economy of UAE as well. The quality education
receiving by the student helps him/her to develop new talents and skills that is useful in the future.
Global perspective: -

The world is developing and emerging technologies has been seen for the past decade, the world will
need new skills that is needed for today’s market and that is only achievable with the means of fine
education. The education will connect each minds and form a teamwork that will strengthen each
other’s country’s relations. This will also reduce the battles and disagreements between other nations
and have unity with them.

2. What is the cause of lack of education?

Education is one of the aspect that a person needs and without this, many catastrophes will occur and is
a long term effect. The causes of lack of education is preferably within the person itself, if he/she is lazy
and or irresponsible, no doubt that this will bring unfortunate events to the person. Despite of the
person’s personality, poverty is one of the cause too. The poverty-stricken areas especially in developing
countries, many are unemployed and is left with no hope, the education is basically expensive and only
few are available as government schools. The selected schools built are far from provinces or districts
which is located hundred miles away and transportation is less. The involvement of wrong doings is an
effect like having vices, it makes the people commit sinful acts and make regretful mistakes. This leads to
situations like teen pregnancy, gang violence, theft, drug use, and other crimes happen more frequently
in non-educated settings. These are just a few of the causes and effects due to lack of education.

The consequences with lack of education.

Personal perspective: -

Without education, the future of the person is inferior, living in a low status of life, being substandard
for the coming years. The person is likely to perform unethical doings being involved into crimes and use
of prohibited drugs. They particularly get pregnant early and be penniless that can continue to the next
generations.

Local perspective: -

The illegal acts will inflate throughout the community, putting the people’s life into danger. The
community will receive bad reputation and will affect the minds of the children being exposed and is
persuaded to do the same. The increase in number of students dropping out is expected, making the
community in extreme poverty. The expansion of population is also recorded due to teen pregnancies,
this makes the society vulnerable to health problems and diseases mostly in crowded areas.

National perspective: -

The UAE is known for its high quality educational standards and world class schools; it also offers
scholarships to families who have financial difficulty in order to ensure the education for their children.

With this, the UAE is one of the safest and economically developed country making it less prone to
crimes and other violent acts.

Global perspective: -

The consequences are clearly seen throughout the past decades, the inflation of population of 196
countries with a 1.1% or 75 million people per year. The global population raised from around 1 billion in
1800’s to 8 billion till now. It is expected to keep growing due to early pregnancies. The increase of
population was also a cause of widespread diseases throughout the world, affecting the future
generations. Crimes and violence are recorded, about 850 reports are received from all countries
everyday which is no doubt the triple of the reports before. Additionally, the trade and import and
export of prohibited drugs and other illegal activities such as smuggling is another problem facing by the
rulers of different countries that is not yet completely solved.

3. Should education be free for all?

“Education should be free; an educated citizen is a productive citizen” – anonymous.

Humans are created equally; we might be raised in an extravagant or low-grade lifestyle; we all deserve
to be educated in a right way. Almost 60 million children in primary school are not enrolled in school
because of financial crisis. Instead, they are sent to factories or streets to work and support their
parents. While, some just sit at home enjoying the luxuries that surrounds them, but they don’t have an
idea how others strive the position where they are into, the education that millions of children wanted
to. These children are not getting the basic education they need to become empowered adults who can
pull their families and their communities out of poverty. This is why these youngsters should receive
student grants and get a quality education at no price covering all other expenses such as books and
uniforms. They learn how to prevent illness and improve overall health, build and maintain
infrastructure, manage personal and professional relationships, understand and advocate for basic
rights, and secure a livelihood. And these tools help pull families and communities out of the cycle of
poverty.

How to achieve an education for all?

Personal perspective: -

As an individual, I can ask help from the Non-Government Organization (NGO) to come up with a
project. The said project will benefit those children who belong in a low income group or families that
have difficulties sending their children to school. These projects will involve raising money to support
the needs, allowances and resources that will be used in running this free education for the less
fortunate ones.

Local perspective: -

As we all know, there are health centers in a community. What I can do, is to encourage the head of the
community to come up with a daycare center where in children (ages 3-5 years old) can start schooling
for free. This will prepare them for the next stage for their education.

I will also motivate the children within the community why education is important, in a form of
workshop and interactive activities.

National perspective: -

The UAE offers full and discounted scholarships to UAE national and non-national students in several
universities such as Khalifa University, Emirates Aviation College and many more. The country is really
concerned about the high standard of education and the development of knowledge of their residents
(KHDA) in UAE and it is no doubt that they will come up to give justice to give education for all. The UAE
makes sure that all nationals receive quality education and acquire useful skills for their future.

Global perspective: -

Since the UNESCO’s was founded, their mission is to contribute to the building of peace, poverty
eradication, and many more. Education as one of its principal activities to achieve this aim. They believe
that each and everyone has rights to be educated as it plays a fundamental role of a person in human,
social and economic development. UNESCO is entrusted to lead Sustainable Development Goal
4 - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
The mission has started and many were aware about the promotion of the goals via social media. To
achieve this, they provide leadership in education, strengthen education systems worldwide and face
global challenges through education. UNESCO is promoting the goal for all stages of education, ensuring
the human rights of a person in education along with other concerns. They work with governments and
other partners to make the goal effective through policy change. The project helped thousands of
students in each part of the world from generous donations and other charitable activities led by them.

4. Which organizations helps unfortunate children to have education?

The UN system agencies include UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural
Organization) AND UNICEF (United Nations Children's Emergency Fund).

UNESCO an NGO (Non-Government Organization)- Its purpose is to promote peace and security by
promoting international collaboration through educational, scientific, and cultural reforms and increase
justice, follow the law along with the human rights and fundamental freedom.

UNICEF an IGO (Intergovernmental Organization)- Serves as a developmental assistance

to children and mothers in developing countries.

Does the government play an important role in education?

Thousands of students are enrolled in schools which is covered by the government or scholarships from
the state or country. The government is really important as without it, there will be no schools built, no
funds would be collected, large number of students will be illiterate and the whole world will be in
poverty. Schools in developing countries are likely to be government schools as many will not afford
private schools, millions of people depend from the government as a source of their income, education,
and life.

5. Conclusion
Education is what we require to be a determined human being, it is the only source of intelligence and
morals that we require to live successfully in this developing planet. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education
is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world”.
