ET-Working with Image Exercise – MS Word

Directions:

1. Go to Page Layout Menu, change the paper size to A4, Narrow Margins.
2. Go to Home Menu, set the font face to Calibri with 12 pts size.
3. Type the following:
When you insert an image in a Microsoft Word document, resize and position it to customize the
document layout and choose how the text appears around the image, for example, have it
seamlessly wrap around the photo. An image with a large file size can be compressed so that the
document downloads quickly from a web page or is suitable for an email attachment. For images
that need more explanation, add a caption.
4. Make two (2) copies of the above paragraph and make three (3) paragraphs.
5. Go to Insert, click Picture, browse and select any picture then click insert.
6. R-click the picture, select Size and Position, uncheck Lock Aspect Ratio and Relative to original picture size,
change the Height to 1 and Width to 2.
7. Click Text Wrapping Tab and select Square. Click Ok.
8. Place your picture at the Left side of the 1 st paragraph. The picture must align with the margin from the left.

9. Repeat step 5 and 6.


10. Click Text Wrapping Tab and Select Top and Bottom.
11. Place your picture in the middle part of the 2 nd paragraph.
12. Repeat step 5 and 6 again to insert another picture.
13. Click Text Wrapping Tab and Select Behind Text.
14. Place your picture in the middle part of the 3 rd paragraph.
15. Save your work as Exercise#3 LastName FirstName.
