OPERATION MANUAL

SF Series Pellet Machine

CHENGDU SEREN EQUIPMENT CO.,LTD.


1. GENERAL

1.1 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This manual applies to the SF series pellet machines only. It must be kept near the
equipment in a readily and immediately accessible location at all times.
The content of this manual must be read, understood and followed in all points by
all relevant people. This applies in particular to the notes on safety. Following the
safety instructions will help to prevent accidents, defects and malfunctions.
SEREN will not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage resulting from failure to
follow the instructions in this manual.
If malfunctions occur in spite of having followed the operating instructions, please
contact the SEREN customer service department (see chapter 8 Maintenance).
This applies in particular during the warranty period.

2. PRODUCTS OVERVIEW

SEREN SF series pellet machines are designed for making various animal fodder
for farmers and fodder processing factories. The car differential gear as its
transmission which is more durable and stable than belt transmission. Our
machines adopt to the robust steel materials and high quality copper electric motor.
it features granulating uniform, stable performance and long service life.

3. APPLICATION AND FEATURES

3.1 The main application is rabbit, chicken, duck, pig, cow, goat etc and other
industry purpose.
3.2 The pellet is smooth and moderate hardness, the nutrition of the material is well
kept during the processing with rising temperature.
3.3 Uniform pellet,various pellet diameter 2mm,3mm,4mm,5mm,6mm,7mm,8mm.
3.4 it can kill pathogenic microorganisms and parasites during processing.

5. PROCESSING INSTRUCTION

5.1. The hyperbolic gear oil need to be added to the gearbox before starting.
Different models need different quantity of the gear oil. Add half of the dipstick
which comes with the machine. (Normally SF-125 and SF-150 3.5L, SF-210 10L,
SF-260 15L). The motor and the transmission part must be equipped with protective
covers.

5.2. Install the granulator steadily, rotate it in the direction indicated by the
arrow,check whether the screws of each part are tight, keep granulator in a no-load
state, and it can work after starting and running normally.

5.3. The running-in process must be carried out for the new machine.Take the
sawdust and fine sand volume ratio of 1: 1 and add 20% oil as running in material.
The running-in process can remove the burr of each mechanical part. If the die hole
resistance is large, less or no pellet coming out, the die can be repeatedly ground
according to the above method to make the die hole lubricate smoothly before
processing.

5.4.If the raw materials have too many fine fiber, add 5% of water. If there is more
fine fodder, add 30% rough fodder. Add some edible oil in last 5 kg processing
materials when processing is completed, which is beneficial to the next start-up to
avoid the residue in the machine. Or clean the hole of the die and roller manually.

6. OPERATION NOTE
1.No stones, metals and other hard sundries in the raw materials. Keep maintain the
machine after using a while. Take off the compression roller and apply some high
temperature resistant grease to the bearing to make the compression roller work well
and extend the service life of the bearing.
2. Don’t let the roller and die disc contact and run without any materials.Keep feeding
the materials continuously. Keep the nuts tight to avoid damage the roller and
bearing.
3. If the pellets broken or not solid, the coarse fibre feed formula should be reduced to
less than 50%.
4. If machine doesn’t come pellets or materials,take out the die disc and clean the
hole, add some fiber materials appropriately then restart machine.
5. Always check the tightness of the screws of various parts of the machine, replace
the oil seal in time when there is oil leakage in the airspeed box, and check whether
there are enough oil for bearing inside the machine.
7. TROUBLE SHOOTING
