2. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview
Physical state: liquid
Colour : colourless
Odour : pungent
This chemical is considered hazardous by the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Hazard Statements
Precautionary statements:
Prevention:
Response:
P312 : If you do not feel good, UZEM 114 phone or doctor / Call physician.
Storage:
P403+233 : Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.
P405 : Store locked up.
Disposal:
P501 : Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste disposal plant
4.4. Ingestion
- Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person
- If victim is fully conscious, give a cup ful of water.
- Rinse mouth.
- Do not induce vomiting.
- Call a physician immediately.
- Take victim immediately to hospital.
If victim is conscious:
- If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious).
- Do NOT induce vomiting.
Notes to physician:
-Exposure to material may cause delayed lung injury resulting in pulmonary edema and pneumonitis.
-Exposed individuals should be monitored for 72 hours after exposure for the onset of delayed respiratory
symptoms.
Hydrogen peroxide at these concentrations is a strong oxidant. Direct contact with the eye is likely to cause corneal
damage especially if not washed immediately. Careful opthalmologic evaluation is recommended and the possibility
of local corticosteroid therapy should be considered. Because of the likelihood of corrosive effects on the
gastrointestinal tract after ingestion, and the unlikelihood of systemic effects, attemps at evacuating the stomach
via emesis induction or gastric lavage should be avoided. There is a remote possibility, however, that a nasogastric
or orogastric tube may be required for the reduction of severe distension due to gas formation.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
5.1. Suitable extinguishing media
- Water
- Water spray
- Water fog
- Do not use any other substance.
Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.
Fire fighting equipment should be thoroughly decontaminated after use.
Other information
- Keep product and empty container away from heat and sources of ignition.
- Keep containers and surroundings cool with water spray.
- Earth, diatomaceous earth or non-acidic clay and place into suitable properly labeled containers for
prompt disposal.
- Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
- Regulatory specialist to determine appropriate state or local reporting requirements, for assistance in
waste characterization and/or hazardous waste disposal and other requirements listed in pertinent
environmental permits.
Other information
- Combustible materials exposed to hydrogen peroxide should be immediately submerged in
or rinsed with large amounts of water to ensure that all hydrogen peroxide is removed.
- Residual hydrogen peroxide that is allowed to dry (upon evaporation hydrogen peroxide can
- concentrate) on organic materials such as paper, fabrics, cotton, leather, wood or other
combustibles can cause the material to ignite and result in fire.
7.2. Storage
General information on storage conditions:
- Store in cool, dry, well ventilated area away from sources of ignition as flame.
Other information
- Warn people about the dangers of the product.
- Refer to protective measures listed in sections 7 and 8.
- Do not confine the product in a circuit, between closed valves, or in a container without a vent.

(Only those components with exposure limits are printed in this section. Limits with skin contact
designation above have skin contact effect. Air sampling alone is insufficient to accurately quantitate
exposure. Measures to prevent significant cutaneous absorption may be required. Limits with a sensitizer
designation above mean that exposure to this material may cause allergic reactions.)
Consult ACGIH ventilation manual or NFPA Standard 91 for design of exhaust systems.
reuse. Provide a safety shower at any location where skin contact can occur. Wash thoroughly after
handling.

Protective engineering solutions should be implemented and in use before personal
protective equipment is considered.
