Stuart Lewis

Chief Risk Officer and Member of the


Management Board, Deutsche Bank

Stuart was appointed to the Management Board of Deutsche


Bank as Chief Risk Officer in June 2012. Since joining
Deutsche Bank in 1996, he has held senior roles including
Global Chief Credit Officer, Global Head of Loan Exposure
Management Group and Chief Credit Officer for Asia Pacific.
Most recently, he was Deputy Chief Risk Officer and Chief Risk Officer for the
Corporate and Investment Bank. He was previously Head of European Credit Risk
Management at Credit Suisse.

In 2013 Stuart was elected to the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
Board of Trustees. He is also a Member of the Foundation board of the International
Financial Risk Institute (IFRI) and served as Chair from 2016 to 2018.

Stuart is a visiting Professor at the Finance Department of the London School of


Economics (LSE). He helped establish and advised on the content of the MSc Risk
and Finance Programme, where he is a regular speaker. He also works in
partnership with the LSE's internationally renowned Financial Markets Group as a
member of the Advisory Council and through his support of the Deutsche Bank
Doctoral Fellowship Programme.

Stuart attended the University of Dundee where he obtained an LLB (Hons). He also
holds a LLM (Merit) from the London School of Economics and took the Law Society
finals examinations at the College of Law, Guildford.
