Jack and his mummy didn’t have any money.
One day, Mummy said ‘Jack, take our cow and sell her.
We need money to buy food.’

On the way to town, Jack met an old man.

The old man said ‘Give me your cow, and I will give you these magic beans.’

Jack took the beans home. Mummy was very angry.

‘Now we have no cow and no money!’ she said.
She threw the beans out of the window.

The next morning, there was a giant beanstalk outside Jack’s window!
It was so tall it reached the sky!
Jack climbed up the beanstalk.

At the top of the beanstalk there was a big castle.

Inside the castle there was a giant.
The giant was counting his money.

The giant went to sleep.

Jack climbed on to the table and took the bag of money.
