I Have learned a lot in expurma this term.

Although it was just a few weeks since it started, I was

able to familiarize myself with studying the subject. I learned about Supplier customer

perspective of supply in the first lesson. Where the company looks for other suppliers and other

ways of getting new customers. For the second lesson I was able to learn about the eight

dimensions of Quality and these eight dimensions are; performance, features, reliability,

durability, conformance, serviceability, aesthetics and perceived quality. For the third topic I was

able to learn more about total quality management. I learned that it is a philosophy and system

of management. At the same time I was also able to learn about Deming’s 14 points, the four

important features of TQM, Kaizen and Deming wheel, Sampling, inspection and testing. For

the fourth topic I learned a lot about inventories; its functions and forms of inventory, the types of

techniques and tools when it comes to inventory such as inventory costing, ABC classification,

Vendor or Supplier Managed inventory, Lean supply, JIT, Kanban systems and Supply chain

inventory management. After that i was able to understand the Identifications and specifications,

The need criteria in value proposition, Strategic Criteria, Traditional Criteria, Additional Current

Criteria, Description and the methods of description, sources of specifications of data and lastly

on the topic are standardization and simplification. For the second to the last topic of the

midterms I was also able to learn about the Generic Channels of Distribution, Typical Channel

Structure, The three dimensions of Channel Structure, Channel mapping, The principle of

minimum transactions. The final topic in the midterms which i’ve learned are the Logistics, Role

of supply in logistics, Key logistics functions in a supply chain, Transportation modes and

carriers, The transportation and Supply’s involvement in transportation, Intermodal

Transportation which are the rail, road, air, pipeline, water, radio frequency waves. And lastly the

transportation service providers. I was able to learn and understand all of these lessons which

help me understand this subject.
