Institute of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, is a
premier Research & Development Institution of the Government of India. Its main objective is to promote the growth
of Science and Technology in the areas of RF/Microwave Electronics, Medical Electronics, Electromagnetic, Opto-
Electronics, Millimeter-wave Technology and its allied areas. SAMEER has its headquarters at Mumbai and centers at

OTHER INFORMATION

1. The pay and allowances etc are admissible as per the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission of the Government of India as extended
to Autonomous Bodies. Other benefits include CPF, Medical reimbursement, LTC etc as per rules of the organization.
2. Higher starting salary may be considered for deserving candidates.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Applications giving full details together with copies of relevant certificates/testimonials in the prescribed format and superscribing the
Advt. No. & Name of the Post applied for with Code on the envelope should reach Registrar SAMEER not later than the last date specified.
2. The soft copy of only APPLICATION SUMMARY strictly as per format is to be mailed to [email protected]. The name of the file should
be your own name in the following format.
First Name_Middle Name_Last Name.xls. No other application is to be mailed on this mail id. Mere submitting soft copy of APPLICATION
SUMMARY will not be considered complete unless the hard copy of the complete application as stated above is received within the last date
specified.
3. Those employed in Govt. Dept / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies should send their application through proper channel within the closing date along
with NOC or else produce NOC at the time of interview.
4. Incomplete applications, applications without the photo copies of the certificates duly attested and applications received after last date shall
not be considered. Institute cannot take any responsibility for transit, postal and other delays.
5. In case the candidate is applying for more than one post; he/she should apply for each post separately. No candidate shall apply for more than
two posts. Candidate can not apply for more than one post in Scientist – C or Scientist – B category.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. Age for all the posts of Scientist – C should be below 35 years.

2. Age for all the posts of Scientist – B should be below 30 years.
3. Age limit will be applicable as on last date of receiving applications.
4. Upper age limit will be relaxed for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/Ex-serviceman and Persons with disabilities as per orders of Govt. of India
issued from time to time. A candidate who claims to belong to SC/ST or to any one of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) has to submit in
support of his/her claim an attested copy of a certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent authority specified by the Central
Government. OBC certificate issued should not be older than one year on the closing date of advertisement.
5. The applicability of reservation to these posts will be as per Govt. of India Rules.
6. SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro second class train fare from the place of residence to place of interview by the
shortest route as per rules. However, Travelling Allowance is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in service in
Central/State Government services, Central/State Government Corporation, Public Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and
Panchayats.
7. In case of Recruitment by Transfer/Absorption (for the post of Scientist – C): The candidate should be holding analogous post on regular basis
or having minimum 3 years regular service in the Pay Band of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400 and possessing the qualification
and experience prescribed as above.
8. All the positions are regular; however as per rules of SAMEER the selected candidates will be initially on contract for three years. The
performance of the candidate during this period shall be monitored and he/she will be considered for regularization only on the basis of
satisfactory performance.
9. Degree shall be from recognized Institution/University.
10. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
11. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and
experience prescribed in the advertisement. Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called
for interview.
12. The vacancies shown above are provisional and subject to variation (increase/decrease depending upon actual requirement at the time of
deployment). The filling up of vacancies indicated in the advertisement is also subject to the approval of Competent Authority and may not be
filled up if decided otherwise in terms of the orders issued from Government from time to time.
13. Amendments/Changes, if any, in the advertisement shall be published only on the Institute’s website.

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Based on the details in the application form, initial screening will be done to shortlist candidates. Screened candidates, would have to appear
for a written test at Mumbai. Candidates’ shortlisted based on written test will be called for interview. The schedule and venue for the written
test and interview will be intimated to the candidates.
2. Appointment of selected candidates shall be subject to passing the prescribed medical test and satisfying other conditions / formalities
prescribed by the Central Government prior to appointment.
