Clara is a seventeen-year-old student from a state school. She dreams of being a great
architect.
Juan is seventeen years old. He is at high school too. One day Clara’s friend introduced her to
Juan at a basketball tournament. It was love at first sight. Clara and Juan started going out
together.

many things about birth control. Lots of her friends argued about the best option and she
didn’t know what to believe. Juan and Clara agreed to go on a trip together. They couldn’t
spend a lot of money on their holiday so they went camping.
When they arrived at the camp site, they felt it was the right moment. It was a beautiful place
in the mountains. Clara loves Juan. They had both talked about the situation, and Clara trusted
him. Although Juan had already had some sexual experiences with his ex-girlfriend, he had not
spoken to Clara about them. She thought that it was Juan’s first sexual experience too.
Clara was definitely not planning on getting pregnant but when they went on the trip together,
they forgot to use protection in the heat of the moment. Now they’re waiting for a pregnancy
test and they’re both frightened about the future. Clara never thought this would happen to
her.

VALENTINE´S DAY
The day gets its name from a famous saint, but there are several stories of who he was. The most
popular belief about St Valentine is that he was a priest from Rome in the third century AD. Emperor
Claudius II had banned marriage because he thought married men were bad soldiers. Valentine thought
this was unfair, so he broke the rules and arranged marriages in secret. When Claudius found out,
Valentine was sentenced to death and thrown in jail. There, he fell in love with the jailor's blind

Te invito a qué
COMPARATIVE SUPERLATIVE
ADJETIVOS CON UNA ADJETIVOS CON DOS O ADJETIVOS CON UNA ADJETIVOS CON DOS O
SÍLABA O DOS SÍLABAS MÁS SÍLABAS SÍLABA O DOS SÍLABAS MÁS SÍLABAS

moderno) moderno)
Ugly – er = uglier (más Beautiful- more= more Ugly- est= the ugliest (el Beautiful – most = the

bonito)
IRREGULAR COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE
Good Better : mejor The best: el mejor
Bad Worse: peor The worst: el peor

• Es mayor a dos silabas (Beautiful → The most beautiful)
