product and/or service in Entrepreneurship.

Introduction/ Activity 1: “COMMON ELEMENTS”


Motivation
(15 minutes) Directions: The teacher groups the class into four. Each group will
be given some papers in which there are four different definitions of
entrepreneurship with their corresponding proponents written in it.
Preliminary Each groups have different list of definitions and proponents from the
Activities others. Then each group will be given two minutes to read the texts
 Prayer given to them in the whole class. Group 1 will be the first to read
Attendance then group 2, and so on and so forth. Next, all the groups will be
asked to answer a question in a one-half sheet of paper. After five
minutes the teacher will collect all their papers. And lastly, as a
summary the teacher writes the correct answers on the board and
explain them to the class.

Guide Question:
1. What are the five common elements of entrepreneurship that
were presented in the given definitions?
Instruction/Delive Activity 2: “THE PERFECT ENTREPRENEUR”

(30 minutes) Directions: Divide the learners into pairs. Let the learners in each
pair decide who is player 1 and who is player 2. In the first role play
session have player 1 in each pair give reason why he/she thinks that
he/she would not be a not so perfect entrepreneur. Player 2 in each
pair must right down all the reasons provided by player 1. After 3
minutes player 1 and player 2 swap roles. Now player 2 in each pair
must give reasons why he/she thinks that he/she would not be a not
so perfect entrepreneur while player 1 in each pair must right down
all the reasons provided by player 2. When another 3 minutes have
passed, learners proceed in the second role play session in which
they now give reasons why they think they would be a perfect
entrepreneur exactly the same procedure as followed as in the first
role play session with regards to the swapping of roles after 3 minute
intervals. At the end of the second role play session, a classroom
discussion of the characteristics of a not so perfect entrepreneur and
a perfect entrepreneur is conducted. The teacher gets feedback from
the class and compiles a list on the board indicating the
characteristics of a not so perfect entrepreneur on the left column
and on the right column a list of the characteristics of a perfect
entrepreneur. As a summary the teacher reviews both lists on the
board and facilitates the discussion with learners using the following
questions.

1. Do all learners have the potential characteristics to become
entrepreneur?
2. Is it a negative if some learners do not possess the
characteristics to become an entrepreneur?
3. What have you learned from this exercise?
4. Do you have the entrepreneurial characteristics needed to
become self-employed?

Enrichment (1 hour) Activity 4: “COLLAGE”

Direction: Using old colored magazines, cut out pictures that will
symbolize the common personal characteristics of the entrepreneurs
today. Paste them on a cartolina to form a collage. Discuss and
compare your work with a group in your class. As a summary, the
teacher then reviews each groups’ answers and explain further the
core competencies of entrepreneurship.

Evaluation Activity 5: “HAVING A BUSINESS”

Direction: You along with your groupmates starts a small business.


First you have to choose what specific product you would like to
market. Then your group will create this product and try to advertise
and sell it to the campus. You and your group will sell your product
for a week every vacant time in school. After a week you will show to
your teacher and to your classmates all your profits and your capital
by giving all your receipts and other proof of how much your group
have invested for the business and your gained income in return.
