LGU - Invitation and Program Flow
LGU - Invitation and Program Flow
15 February 2021
Greetings!
We would like to thank you for your unwavering support for SHFC and its socialized housing
programs. We value our partnership in helping the informal settler families (ISFs) with responsive
shelter solutions, specifically those who will be affected by the DOTr’s North-South Commuter
Railway Extension Project (NSCR-Ex).
As an overview, the Local Inter-Agency Committee for the NSCR-Ex has already rolled out
several major activities in preparation for the resettlement of ISFs in the affected areas of Manila
City, such as the conduct of LIAC planning and validation activities. Please note that all these
activities have been done in close coordination with your concerned units and officers.
In order to translate these milestones towards the successful implementation of the project, the
LIAC will convene to further establish procedures and specific action steps that will serve as
guidelines in the relocation and resettlement operations. In line with this, a two-day workshop for
the formulation of the Relocation and Resettlement Action Plan (RRAP) will be conducted on
February 17-19, 2021 at The Bayleaf Cavite.
The objective of the RRAP Workshop is to create a general framework that will serve as the LIAC's
overall direction in undertaking the relocation and resettlement activities of affected households
on matters pertaining to social preparation, beneficiary selection, site selection, entitlements, and
livelihood assistance.
In this regard, we would like to invite your good office along with the representatives from the
LGU’s Urban Settlements Office, Department of Engineering and Public Works, City Planning
and Development Office, Manila Social Welfare Development Office, Public Employment Service
Office, Manila Barangay Bureau, Manila Health Department, Market Administrator’s Office, and
Accommodation and food will be provided in the entire duration of the activity for a maximum of
two (2) participants per member agency/office to limit the number of participants in observance of
the COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Transportation assistance will also be provided to the
representatives of the city government. Details for the said assistance are as follows:
February 17, 2021 - Pick-up from Manila City Hall and drop off to The Bayleaf Cavite
February 19, 2021 - Pick up from The Bayleaf Cavite and drop off to Manila City Hall
TOTAL 28
As a vital partner of SHFC in this resettlement project, we look forward to the Local Government
of Manila’s continuous support and active participation in the activity.
Should you have concerns/inquiries, you may contact Ms. Dana Jacobo at +63 947 540 9107 or
