1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To lay down the procedure for Manufacturing Operation.i.e., Accepted rejected and final dispatch

2.0 SCOPE:
This SOP shall be applicable for production, inspection and dispatch department for color coding for
Manufacturing Operation. i.e., Accepted rejected and final dispatch. This SOP is used for easy identification and
used correctly.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1. Execution: Operator
3.2 Checking: Production Supervisor/Foreman, Field Inspector and Dispatch Supervisor

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY
HOD-Production

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1. Production person shall affix the Under Process, Accepted and rejected color code on each and every item or
part at every stage.The detailed procedure of color coding is as follows.

5.1.1 Under Process, Accepted and rejected item or part are of three colors.

5.1.2. Yellow Color: Denote that the item/part is in process like drilling, chamfering, bending, straightening and
bending, welding and ready for inspection.

5.1.3. Green Color: Denote that the item or part has completed all operation like drilling, cutting, chamfering,
straightening, bending, welding and inspection complete. The item is ready for Hot-Dip Galvanize Process.

5.1.4. Red Color: Denote that the item/part is rejected and it’s in quarantine area for rework or scrap. The rejected
item or part may be galvanized items or fabricated item or parts.

5.2. All color coding will be done by application of color and the location will at the end of item or part
manufactured.

5.3. For color coding of dispatched item, we follow manufacturer recommendation.

5.4 Production person shall ensure that color coding is well placed and done correctly after each operation.

5.5 All color codes defined in this document shall hold true for all sections of manufacturing process.
