A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE ELECTION PROCEDURE OF THE G7

LEVEL REPRESENTATIVE OF SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT FOR
S.Y. 2019-2020

WHEREAS, hereunder is an excerpt of the revised standard Constitution and By-laws

of the Supreme Pupil Government in Elementary Schools (Based on DepEd Order No.
79 s. 2009) and shall serve as the election code: (Based on DepEd Order No. 47 s. 2014
Article VIII

Composition, Election, Qualifications and Terms of Office of the SSG Sec. 5

The campaign procedures and elections shall be in accordance with the SSG COMELEC
Standard Election Code.

WHEREAS, DepEd Order No. 11 s. 2016 has set Additional Guidelines to DepEd Order
No. 47 s. 2014 which aims to: a. enable the students belonging to Senior High School to
organize and to participate in the SSG; b. provide the guidelines in the conduct of the
elections of the SSG in SHS; and; c. define the duties and responsibilities of the officers
in the SSG of the SHS;

WHEREAS, the aspiring students for the said position must be in strict compliance
with Article VIII, Sections 6.1-6.4 of DepEd Order No. 47 s. 2014. Candidate for G7
Representative shall: 6.1 be bona fide students; 6.2 Be of good academic standing with a
general average of 85 and above and without any failing grade during the 1st to 3rd
grading period of the current school year; 6.3 be of good moral character; 6.4 have not
been subjected to any disciplinary sanction;

WHEREAS, the Secretary of the Supreme Student Government, will serve as the
COMELEC Chairperson while the other SPG Officers are the COMELEC
Commissioners;

WHEREAS, the body agreed upon that announcement should be made to all G7
students on June 26, 2019, the screening for qualified applicants will be on July 1 & 2,
2019, the campaign period will be on July 3 & 4, 2019, and then the Election Day will be
on July 5, 2019. The announcement for the winning candidate will be announced after
the election;

WHEREAS, in relation with the Article XIV Section 2, the Supreme Pupi; Government
COMELEC will and must be the only agency that will administer the on-going
processing election. The composition of the members shall be the SSG Officers
themselves;

NOW THEREFORE, the Supreme Student Government, by the virtue of powers

vested in it by the Constitution and By-laws, DepEd Order no. 47 s. 2014, resolves it
hereby to conduct the election of Grade 6 Representative.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the COMELEC shall prepare the budget for the election
and that all transaction shall be made with sufficient documentation under the
supervision of the SSG treasurer and adviser.

FINALLY RESOLVED, that the copies of this resolution shall be furnished to Dr.
Victorio N. Medrano, Mrs. Alicia M. Allada, Mr. Rolando F. Aguilar, G7 advisers and all
the curriculum heads.
