Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity
When I was a little girl, I always follow my
mother to harvest vegetable in our garden. And
I saw many kinds of insects especially in their
larval stage stages and never cross my mind to
be afraid of them since they look cute and
graceful especially those smooth worms with
different coclors and some caterpillars. They’re
good at staring your face and those looks in
their wide eyes. But I don’t like the hairy ones
because my mother said not to touch them
bacause they are itchy. So when I became an
adult, this inspires me to study about Harmful
and beneficial insects.
1. Class, why we call them harmful insects? Ma’am, we call them harmful insects because they can
destroy the crops, or even spread disease to the plants.
2. How do you identify beneficial insects? Beneficial insects eat large quantities of aphids, mites
and other arthropods that feed on various plants.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson
The teacher will show picture of insects on the
screen and let student observed and comment
about the pictures.
