ICC OHS Awards Guidelines
The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) the eminent consortium of business and industry in India announces the “ICC
National Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Awards 2020”to recognize the excellence of organizations in the
sphere of OHS for the year 2019-20. ICC invites application for this Award from its member and non-member
organizations based on their contribution towards promotion and effective implementation of OHS in their respective
organizations.
“ICC National OHS Awards” is to recognize the Best Practices of organizations in the sphere of Occupational Health
and Safety practices and Management at the work place.
Eligible Organizations:
All Indian organisations operating for the last three years or more are eligible to apply for the Award.
Sectors
1. Manufacturing & Engineering
2. Cement & Allied
3. Steel & Mines
4. Construction & Infrastructure
5. Power Generation and Electrical units
6. Oil & Gas
7. Chemicals and Petrochemicals
8. FMCG
9. Services (including IT, Hospitals, Hotels & Hospitality industry)
10. Others
Categories
The award will be in three categories in each of the following areas / sectors:
a. Large Enterprise
(Organizations with annual turnover of more than 250 crores)
b. Medium Enterprise
(Organizations with annual turnover of more than 75 crores but less than 250 crores)
c. Small Scale Enterprise
(Organizations with annual turnover of more than 5 Cr but less than 75 crores)
Levels of Recognition:
There are three levels of recognition for each category. These levels signify the various milestones, which the
organisations can aim for as they progress on their journey towards excellence. Therefore, the organisations at different
level of competitiveness can benefit from participating in the award process.
Levels: Platinum Winner Gold: Runners-up Silver: Recognition Certificate
Award Process:
Application in the given format initial assessment of the application Short listing of applicants for the Jury
presentation jury visit to select units / work places /properties Final Jury Meeting & Selection of the
winners.
Application Fees:
The fee should accompany the application, in the form of a demand draft / cheque at par, favouring “Indian Chamber of
Commerce”

safety in the last financial year, will not be eligible for applying for the Awards. Please give the self-certified letter
duly signed by the Head of the organisation in effect to this undertaking.
