Name: Angela S. Patenio Maed-Cadiz

Angela felt thrilled yet worried when assigned to post an activity on Facebook since she lacked art supplies at home. She used her brother's pastels and paper to sketch her dream school, but stopped due to doubts about her work. After learning digital tools could be used, she installed an app and completed the task despite technical issues. She worried about posting due to potential criticism but did her best. After posting, her brother criticized her work but she posted it anyway. She was happy it received positive feedback and was glad to rediscover her graphic design skills.

PATENIO MAED-CADIZ

1. What did you feel when the teacher gave you the activity and told you to post it in your
facebook account?

The moment I read the activity early this morning, I felt thrilled at the same time
worried for myself since I don’t have any personal art materials at home but the good thing was
I saw some pastels, pencils and papers from my brother’s things and I immediately think about
the things about my dream school and for a few moments I was able to planned it out in my
head. Next, I tried to sketch on a piece of paper and I thought my work wasn’t good so I stopped
sketching it for a while, good thing that Dr. Geroso informed us that we can do it using a gadget
so I decided to install the SketchUp application on my PC tab so that I can start doing the task. I
was actually having a hard time doing the assigned task because I was pressured with the time
and the application I used keeps on crashing because of the low memory. Nevertheless, I still did
it because it is my responsibility as a student to be involved with the given task of the teacher. I
also felt worried about posting it on my Facebook account because I was thinking about the
“what if’s” but I know for myself that we can’t please everyone so I just did my very best to
complete the activity.

2. What did you feel after you have completed your activity?

I was happy that I was able to make it and got my task done but before I posted the
finish product on my Facebook account, I asked my little brother’s opinion about it and he told
me that it was not good enough and pointed at a lot of technicalities on my work like the
structure, proportions, measurements, etc. so I ended up doubting if I should post it but my ego
told me to just go with it and so I did; I posted it on my account and felt satisfied when it was
flooded by reactions and comments by my Facebook friends. My anxious self was now relieved
that I was able to accomplish the task given today and I felt glad and driven for it awakened my
passive skill in visual and graphic design that I neglected for a year or two because I got caught
up with my work.
