Quick Start Guide for Students
System requirements

In order to use the Pearson English Portal, your computer must meet the following System Requirements:

For Computers: For Tablets:


● OS: Windows 7+, Mac OS 10.13+ ● iPad iOS 11.2+ , Android OS 5.0+ or
Windows 8.1, 10
● Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari (latest
version) ● Supported browsers: Chrome, Safari (latest version)
● Processor: Intel Core™ Duo 2.0GHz or faster
● Screen resolution: minimum 1366x768px For iPhones:
● Memory: 2GB or higher RAM ● iOS 11.2+
● Cookies: must be enabled ● Safari in latest version
For Android devices:
For Offline App (Pearson Practice English app): ● Android OS 5.0+
● iOS: 10.0+ & 32MB ● Chrome in latest version
● Android: 5.0+ & 26.5MB

Note: Some types of activities (e.g. drag & drop) may not work
correctly on mobile devices.
Registering an account
To start using the Pearson English Portal you need:
● an e-mail address and
● a student access code.
The access code comes in the inside cover of your Gold Student's Pack.

* If you didn’t receive the book with the Access Code because you are in another country and do not have a home address in Peru,
write to [email protected] to receive the materials virtually.
Registering an account

To register an account:

1. Go to: english-dashboard.pearson.com/register
2. Choose your preferred language [A]. If you encounter any
issues, send an email to: [email protected]
3. Select Adult account and click on the CREATE AN ADULT
ACCOUNT button. [B] A

4. Provide your Personal Information [A], and


your Account Information [B]. You may also
check the box allowing us to contact you for
marketing purposes [C]. Finally, click on the
Verification Box [D].
Once you click on Create account [E], you will
be directed to your Dashboard.

Notes:
● For your username, please use your email
address you registered at Británico.
● Your password must be at least eight
characters long, must include one
number or special character, and
cannot contain your username, name
or blank spaces.
Adding your GOLD - Británico Edition
You need to add your GOLD digital products to your account to be able to fully use the Pearson English Portal.

On your Dashboard, click on either the Add New Product [A] button or add a new product link [A].

1. Enter your ACCESS CODE for MyEnglishLab [B]


This is an example:
ESSXMP-STOUP-STONE-ALOUD-RIANT-NONES (type your own access code)
and click the ADD PRODUCT [C] button.
2. Click the BACK TO DASHBOARD [D] button.
Adding your GOLD - Británico Edition
After you add digital products, you will see 3 buckets in your account:

3. Test: interactive online B2 First tests.
4. Student’s resources: Coursebook audio, speaking test videos and
listening test.

Joining a class
The teacher is able to track your progress and provide feedback on your work after you have joined the class.

To join a teacher’s class:

1. After you enter Gold B2 First for Británico,


go to the Settings tab [A].
2. Click on the Join a Course button [B].
3. Enter the Class Code [C] you should get
from your teacher.
4. Click on the Join [D] button.
