Second Coming

John 14:3- After Jesus’ death on the cross, he

What did ascended to heaven with the assurance that we
Jesus might be saved from our sins. Before leaving earth,
he promised that he would return for us and take us
promise? with him to where he was. In fact, the Bible records
1500+ times where Jesus promises to return.

What will the second coming look like?

Visible “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him…”
(Revelation 1:7)

Audible “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with
the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. ..”
(1 Thessalonians 4:16)
Miraculous “…and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will
be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so
we will always be with the Lord”
(1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17)
Decisive “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he
will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he
will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from
the goats” (Matthew 25:31-33)

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness,
but is patient toward you, not wishing that nay should perish, but that
all should reach repentance” (2 Peter 3:9) Why is
“Then the kings of the earth and the great ones…calling to the Jesus
mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who
is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great taking
day of their wrath has come and who can stand”
(Revelation 6:16-17) so long?
Jesus has not forgotten his promise. He is simply waiting for more
people to accept him. He is waiting for goats to become sheep! One
day, there will be no more waiting, and Jesus will have to return.
Will you accept him before that day comes?
