Steps to register online FIR with Bangalore Police
Step 1: Visit the Website of Bangalore Police https://www.bcp.gov.in/
Step 2: Go to the bottom of the page
Step 3: Click on e-Lost Report (app) web portal
Step 3: Click on Lost Lodge Report
Step 4: If you are a new user Click on New User
Step 5: Select preferred Language from Top
Step 6: Fill Required Information
Step 7: Enter Captcha showing on the Screen
Step 8: Click on Send OTP Option
Step 9: Submit the information required and complete registration.
Step 10: Go Back to Lost Lodge Report
Step 11: Click on Existing User
Step 12: Enter your Mobile Number and Captcha Code shown on the Screen.
Step 13: Click on Send OTP
Step 14: Logon to the website of Bengaluru City Police and Lodge Complaint.

Delhi
Delhi has the facility of lodging E- FIR through its official website

In order, to file complain the person needs to register himself by making an account.
Also, the website has categorized various types of issues which are commonly reported and has displayed
each category separately in form of icons on the home page of website. The person can directly click on
the icon and register his complain their by putting their basic details required given below.
Information/details required: -
You have to fill up the personal details while filing an FIR. The following options will be there-

● Enter the complainant's name: Fill the name of the person who wants to lodge the e-FIR.
● Enter the father's/mother's name: Fill the complainant's parents' name.
● Enter the complainant's Address- Enter the full address.
● Enter complainant's mobile number- complainant's working mobile number.
● Enter complainant's email ID: Email-ID is important because a copy of your e-FIR will be sent to
you via email for verification.

Procedure to file online FIR: -


Step 1: Visit the Delhi Police Official Website i.e. www.delhipolice.nic.in
Step 2: Select 'Services' may option will scroll down.
Step 3: Choose the option complaints if you want to file a police complaint online, from the online
service box.
Step 4: File FIR/complaint accordingly.
Step 5: After you submit your complaint, you will receive a copy of your e-FIR in
PDF form. Download it and take a print out of the report.
The complainant also has the facility of viewing the status of his filed FIR.
It also contains a separate column for women and children helpline, senior citizens.
Overall the website is user friendly and helpful with many facilities available.

Kolkata
Steps to check status of FIR or online FIR with Kolkata Police
Step 1: Hit on the link to visit Website of Kolkata Police.
The following menu will open at the middle end of the Website.
Step 2: Hit on the Report a Crime
Step 3: Fill the information asked for in the menu.
● Detail About the Crime: Enter the incident in Detail.
● Name: Enter the Full name of Complainant
● Address: Enter Address of Complainant
● Police Station: Select Name of Police Station from the list
● E-Mail: Enter Email ID of Complainant
● Security Code: Enter Security code displayed on the screen.
Step 4: Hit on Send Button
Now your complaint is registered with Kolkata Police. You will receive e-mail confirmation to
your email account.
PORTAL

There is a no need to form an account.
How can be registered a complaint -
STEP 1 - Visit the website of Kolkata police
STEP 2 - Go to the bottom of the page
STEP 3 - Click on report web (app)
STEP 4 - Then, fill the required information- details about the crime, name, address,
police station, e-mail and new code.
STEP 5 - Enter captcha showing on the screen
STEP 6 - Click on send OTP option.
STEP 7 - Submit the information and report registration.

Mumbai
Procedure to register online FIR with Mumbai police station-
It is easy to register FIR online with Mumbai Police. Mumbai Police has introduced online
system to register FIR for people who want to file First Information Report.
FIR can be lodged web application any time anywhere without going to police stations.
● Step 1: Hit on the link to register online FIR with Mumbai Police. The following menu
will open.
● Step 2: Fill the information asked for in the menu.
1. Police Station Name: Select Name of Police Station from the list
2. Subject: Write subject
3. Complaint Type: Select from the options Complaint, Minor Crime and Feed Back.
4. Name: Enter the name of Complainant
5. Address: Enter address of Complainant
6. City: Enter Name of City
7. Postal Code: Enter PIN Code No
8. Phone: Enter Phone No of Complainant
9. Email: Enter Email Address of Complainant and Hit on the Code. You will receive
authorization code on your email ID.
10. Authorized Code: Enter the code received on your email ID.
11. Your Complaint: Enter your complaint in this field.
● Step 3: Hit on Submit Button
Now your complaint is registered with Mumbai Police. You will receive e-mail confirmation to
your email account. Disclaimer as given in Mumbai Police Website
As per the prevailing laws, FIR of a major crime ('cognizable crimes like theft, burglary, motor
vehicle theft, accident, chain-snatching, assault, rape, murder, attempt to commit murder,
robbery, dacoity, extortion etc) can only be registered at a Police Station. Please contact your
nearest Police Station for the same.
This site shall only entertain complaints about minor crimes ('non-cognizable crimes'). Your
complaint shall be referred to the concerned Police Station, where you may be called for further
clarification and/or to give statement.

The non- metropolitan states: -


Uttar Pradesh
The official website of Uttar Pradesh police can be reached at https://uppolice.gov.in/#Home. The website
is managed by state crime record bureau (SCRB).
The website provides facility for filing e- fir through an icon present on the home page. The complainant
also has the option for viewing the status of fir filed by the person.
Before filing the person needs to register himself and make a citizen login account. The account is made
at the page crime and criminal tracking network & systems. After registration the e-FIR can be lodged at
same page.
The website also helps the user to find his jurisdiction of police station by selecting his district and thana
from the option available on homepage.
The Uttar Pradesh police also provides a mobile app i.e. UPCOP which provides the option of filing e-fir
from anytime anywhere.
Procedure for filing e-fir: -

● Firstly you have to open official website of Uttar Pradesh i.e. http://uppolice.gov.in .
● Than after click on Citizen Services.
● Now you have to click the link of E-FIR on the home page.
● You will be forwarded on new page of CCTNS portal.
● Than after you have to register yourself with CCTNS portal. When your registration will be
complete than you will get a login ID and Password.
● Login again with given user id and password.
● Here you have to fill new fir registration form. You can also check your fir status, list of fir and
many more details.
● Now after completing of form filling your up police online fir registration will be completed.
● Than after online fir will be verified after in-charge of e-police station.
● When your fir will be approved, you will get verified details on sms or email.
● You can also download up police online fir status in pdf format from your email.

Rajasthan
The following is the process to check FIR online.
• Go to the official website of Rajasthan police portal www.police.rajasthan.gov.in
• In the public information section, click on the CCTNS Citizen Portal.
• An option of ‘View FIR\others’ will open.
• After clicking on the option, a webpage www.police.rajasthan.gov.in/citizen will open.
• After logging in, the inquisitor will be able to see his\her FIR lodged in any police station of the
state.
• For further use, the inquisitor can print the FIR too.
The Rajasthan police launched an online FIR facility for lost articles and documents. The facility was
launched by Rajasthan home minister Gulab Chand Kataria at the headquarters on Tuesday.
Director general of police (DGP) Manoj Bhatt said driving licence, ATM/debit/credit cards, birth
certificate, bank pass book, camera, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, property
documents, tablets, laptops, mobile phones are some of the articles which are covered by the facility.
All that a person has to do is to log into the Rajasthan police website (www.police.rajasthan.gov.in), fill
up the relevant form with due details, get the automated copy of it downloaded or printed in minutes.

Uttarakhand
For checking THE-Status of FIR..
Step 1: Visit the Website of Uttarakhand Police by using the following link:

Step 2: Click on View FIR Option
Step 3: Fill the following information
FIR No: Write FIR Number (Write first 4 digits)
FIR Date: Write Date Month and Year
District: Select name of District from the Drop Down Menu
Police Station: Select Name of Police Station from the Drop Down Menu
Step 4: Now click on SEARCH button.
