introduction
Nowadays the demand of oil and gas is increasing rapidly,
however there are some challenges due to the decline of
exploration in the oil and gas industry. Therefore, REERINK
offers plenty of solutions that is related not only in econom-
ic aspect, but also in assembling the rig in order to min-
imize the use of time. For instance, a field that is located
in Brazil, Latin America which produces 8 billion barrels
of oil reserves from greatest estimate 30 billion barrels.

STRUCTURE
DECK
Reerink use the symmetrical deck to re-
duce slop due to vertical load and stabilize
the strucutre. The center of gravity is in
the middle in which it can strengthen the
structure , reduce rotation and transla-
tion. This condition will reduce torque that
can make the structure brittle or damaged.

BASE
Reerink use streamline pontoon with
a flat base to facilitate transit, in-
crease buoyancy, as well as reduce
drag force due to natural loads. This
pontoon can obtain higher mobili-
ty, cost-saving, and easy to maintain.

STRUCTURE
The hexagonal structure provides a light-
weight to the volume ratio of the solid
structure. It balances the stretching and
compressive forces in the structure and
making the structure less easily deformed.
materials
Low Alloy Steel
This high-performance metal, Molybdenum, alloy increase
the toughness and corrosion protection of steel

Elastomer Coating
a blend of selected rubber-like Neoprene polymers, fortified
with special additives to form a tough, resilient barrier to cor-
rosion, erosion, chemical attack, ultraviolet rays, and ozone,
similar to urethane. It is used due to resistance of weathering
(ozone and ultraviolet rays), fungus, marine life, most oils, in-
cidental impacts (from boats), complete and permanent bond-
ed to the metal surface, flexible and low maintenance cost.
stability
Mooring
Reerink uses a semi-taut mooring system, it is suit-
ed for the deepwater purpose. It has shorter mooring
lines, uses less material, and requires less seafloor space
to make this system lighter and more economical in de-
sign. This system also makes the mooring line not easi-
ly crushed because the mooring line is not completely taut
Dynamic Positioning
System
DPS supports the mooring system to uphold the structure
during operation. DPS use for maintaining the structure po-
sition by using propellers and thrusters. The position, the
magnitude, and direction of the forces of the environment
that affect the ship’s position were transferred through wind
sensor, motion sensor and gyro compass to the computer.
Water Ballasting
System
Reerink uses a ballasting system, it stabilized by filling or
emptying ballast tanks with seawater. For controlling hull’s
draft during operation and mobilization to increase efficiency
HOISTING SYSTEM

Semi Submersible is one of Offshore Drilling Rig that can

be floated to location and lowered onto the sea floor. This
Rig which includes safety vessels, oil production plat-
forms, and heavy lift cranes is able to drill up to 3500 feet
POWER SYSTEM
The mechanical power provided by wind ener-
gy through turbines to tradionally turn electric gen-
erators. Wind power which reliable source, is
affordable, environmentally friendly, and sustain-
able because wind creates no pollution, it is a re-
newable energy and it does not need fossil fuels.
ROTARY SYSTEM
PDC is stand for Poly-
crystaline Diamond Com-
pact. Diamond knows as
the hardest material, so
that PDC is used for drill-
ing, esepecially for sticky
or hard formations. The
advantages of using PDC
bit instead of others is
because its last longer.
CIRCULATING SYSTEM
Hex pump is one of mud pump that is suitable
for offshore drilling has six vertical piston which
driven by two AC motor and it is allowed to in-
crease variable deck load capacity on floating
HSE SYSTEM
Freefall lifeboat
A freefall lifeboat provides a fast and safe way of es-
caping from a vessel/platform. This boat will release to
the sea in case of emergency conditions complete with
food beverage flare and another surface kit. This boat
can carry about 25 personnel enough to fill by the en-
tire crew also equipped by the GPS to track the location
of the boast. By today, this method is the safest among
another escaping methods.

safety during an emergen-
cy.

1. Glow material help s improve safety during

power loss
2. Be sure people can find the evacuation route,
even in the dark
3. Avoid confusion in a possibly smoky situation
with a marked route
4. Lumi-Glow Flex™ provides up to 10 hours of
photoluminescent glow
5. A glowing light will show the route to a safe
area is the way to reduce accident probability at
the oil rig and also it will direct to the nearest
boats to evacuate
DEADMAN
SYSTEM

The dead man alarm system is

designed to monitor the ability of
the engineer on duty in the engine
room. Just before entering the en-
gine room, the engineer on duty
should start the adjustable count-
down (3 - 27min) of the dead man
alarm system for his safety. In case
no reset has been trigged by push-
ing one of the installed reset units
during the pre-defined time the
dead man alarm system will start
an alarm escalation sequence.
AIR LOCK
PURGING
SYSTEM

toxic gas can flow from a formation to surface and

spread to the whole rig. If H2S were leaked to the
workplace, it will cause a blow and poison the rig
worker’s place. An airlock is used for passage be-
tween safe and hazardous environment and pre-
vent dangerous gases from getting in the safe
zone. This reduces the NPT and increases safety.
Breathing
Apparatus

A self-contained breathing apparatus(SCBA) or

breathing apparatus (BA), is a device worn to pro-
vide breathable air in nonbreathable atmosphere
such as fire and underwater. It consists of high
pressure tank, regulator, and inhalation connec-
tion (mouthpiece, mouth mask or face mask), con-
nected together and mounted to a carrying frame
