Sigma Profile Extra Fine is a water-based acrylic copolymer texture finish filled with ground natural stone that can be applied using various techniques to create different texture designs. It is designed for exterior use but can also be used internally. It has good weather resistance, flexibility, impact resistance and masks substrate imperfections. It can be applied using a trowel to previously primed surfaces like concrete, plaster or paint to create a variety of texture patterns.

DESCRIPTION water based acrylic copolymer structured texture finish filled with

RECOMMENDED new primed substrates
SUBSTRATE CONDITIONS - dry and clean primed concrete, cement render and plaster
- all dirt and other surface contamination must be removed
- a further application of 0842 will enhance the protective properties
due to the granular structure formed by trowel application

RECOMMENDED previously painted
SUBSTRATE CONDITIONS - remove all contamination, loose and flaking paint from the surface
- spot prime all bare areas
- intact paint layers must be cleaned with a 3% ammonia solution
- cracks must be raked out and primed before filling.
- not recommended over old alkyd types of wall paints

- 0804 Sigmafix Primer
Recommended fillers - 0803 Sigma PVA Wallfiller (internal)
If required - 0896 Sigma Concrete Filler (external)
Recommended finish - from the range of Sigma waterborne and solvented finishes if required

Notes - on very smooth concrete apply as a primer 1 coat of


0831 Sigmaputz Extra Fine (diluted 15 - 20%)
- when overcoating with solvented products a minimum
of 16 hours drying time should be allowed
- as a self coloured waterborne finish and to reach optimal hiding
one coat of 0842 Sigmacryl Flat (thinned with 10 - 15% sweet
water ) in the same colour as the texture, can be applied
METHOD OF
APPLICATION

TOOLS - stainless steel trowel for application


- plastic trowel for structuring
Recommended thinner sweet water
Volume of thinner max. 3%

TROWEL APPLICATION - apply using the stainless steel trowel in one thick coat
the grains of the material determine the thickness of the coat.
As soon as an area of 2 - 4 m2 has been applied, structure the
material using the plastic trowel, roughened before use
