Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon rainforest is facing significant issues. Large areas of the forest have been destroyed by deforestation and massive fires that have burned for over two weeks. More than 20% of the Amazon has already burned due to fires that were started by people, not natural causes like heat or lightning. The burning of the Amazon poses serious risks, as the forest produces 20% of the world's oxygen and is home to over half of the world's plant and animal species. If the fires continue unchecked, it could release 140 billion tons of carbon into the atmosphere, worsening the climate crisis.

Before
After

There are a lot of big issues with the Amazon Rainforest. First, there’s the
deforestation. Secondly, the giant fire that’s been not dealt with for over two weeks!
More then 20% of the Amazon Rainforest has been burned, and it seems that the fire
is going to keep on destroying the forest. And what makes this even worse is that the
fires are from people! Which means the Brazilian people are to blame for the fires. The
Amazon Rainforest is to wet for the fire to be made by the heat/sun or a lightning

This is a map of
Brazil. All of
those red dots
is how much of
the rainforest
has already
burnt down.

Well your probably asking me why is this a big issue? The Amazon Rainforest is more then 20%
of the worlds oxygen, more than half of the worlds species of plants and animals live there, and
it’s being burnt to the ground like it’s not a big deal! And if we do keep on letting the fire spread
and kill the whole Amazon 140 billion tons of carbon will be released in to the atmosphere
which will cause rising temperatures then that will make global warming worse.
