Rationale/Introduction:

In an effort to reduce the occurrence of malnutrition in the barangay specifically Purok

3&4 to obtain their most efficient way of living, I must introduce development programs or a
community service (feeding). The most common problem in every community are food most
specially during times of disasters and calamities where in prices of commodities like food are in
surge. Majority of the Filipinos are suffering from hunger and are even starving to death. With
the help of concerned citizens, the government, organizations and foundation we can implement
a program that could help our community. Supplemental feeding program is the most outreached
solution one could offer in a community. Basically, it is the best preparation for children in
Purok 3&4 so as to encourage healthy living through healthy eating. The success of this program
will be measured 2 years of plan. I will be able to see progress from the malnourished children as
they gain weight. This project also aspires to teach their families the importance of budgeting
and providing healthy foods at a very minimal costs.

Objectives:

 To improve the nutritional health of children.

 To educate parents on proper nutrition.

Project Descriptions

Project work plan:

Community Service Feeding Program for Children are proposed in giving nutritious food
to the identified children of Purok 3&4 Barangay Union, Madrid, Surigao del Sur to be
conducted on November 26, 2020. The duration of the said project will end up until 2022. As I
go by in our mission, I have resources to be needed like fund and materials. The goal of this
project are: to lessen the problem about underweight children and promote good nutrition
program. I will be having a budgeting for the foods and materials with the help of my sisters.

To succeed in this feeding program I need to work hard, work as one and team with the
heart that willing to serve, perform the duties of each of everyone and be responsible at all the
time to make this project successful and effective and the outcomes that I expected to see in this
program are, it gives them a healthy lifestyle, this event become worth it for them.

Project Site :

I will conduct a community service (feeding) at Purok 3&4 located in Barangay Union,
Madrid , Surigao del Sur . I decided to choose this place and I am going to offer a community
service (feeding) in the children.

Target Beneficiaries:

The direct beneficiaries are children who are underweight children according to the
nutritional status. It is expected that 16 children are going to directly benefit.

Project Activities:

I will be conducting a community service especially on feeding by giving nutritious

foods to the children and to make sure that after this plan their will be a good result in regards to
their weight.

The materials used are:

1. Chicken
2. Spaghetti
3. Fruits
4. Bread

Project outcomes/results:

If the community service (feeding) is well-implemented and designed it will increase the
number of children participating in all activities. I will be going to explain the importance of
the said activity especially the feeding program and explained to them the benefits on children
include alleviating hunger, reducing micronutrient deficiency and preventing underweight.

Doing active community service will help to raise awareness about the project in the
community. Creating a community service (feeding) plan can help you :( 1) structure and target
your efforts before you commit any resources; and (2) track what needs to happen and when.
After the program conduct a follow up weighing schedule to the identified children. I ensure
that the activities I made is effective and efficient for children.
