Pollution Monitaring 1

GIS is a system that collects, stores, and displays geospatial data for analysis. [1] GIS can be used to monitor and map different types of pollution, such as air, water, and soil pollution. [2] Spatial data and tools in GIS like buffers and queries can be used to identify high risk pollution areas. [3] GIS integrates remote sensing data and geospatial analysis to monitor changes in water quality over time and link these changes to contaminant sources.

2
 GIS which can use how pollution has occurred of the specific
region or area in the world.

1. we can be create a map using by spatial data in GIS of pollution areas of

the real world.

2 . recognized of the specific areas by tools of arc GIS.

ex :Find distance for recognize risk area using by single and multi buffer
zone.
we can mathematical operation using query, calculation geometry .

[ integration of GIS /RS tools and water quality model]

• Harmful to water surface .these imagery and GIS technology devices are widely
used today to capture satellite images provide remote sensing method of GIS.

2. Model strengths analysis.

• the remote sensing based water quality predictive model is capable of achieving,
developing maps showing temporal changes in quality historical remote sensing data.
• developing water quality thematic maps for environmental parameters modeled in the
study.
• integrating geospatial[RS and GIS ] techniques into TMDL traditional process.

3. RS and GIS analysis of water quality.

•geo-referenced datasets can be created using digitally processed satellite images.
• RS image classification to determine water bodies contaminant sources to better define
TDML.

mapping. The spatial data translated bar chart. We can use this Cleary identify how to control
pollution and built a planning for protect water bodies.

done to identify specific information.

GIS technology manages spatial data and statistical data to supply a tool that shows the relationship
between poor air quality. And ,GIs data important to control pollution .And GIs data important to
control pollutants emissions.

 The international team, led by researchers in the department of engineer and environmental
research at the university of north do kata, set out to explore the united states and Canada which
team is founding to amount of carbon dioxide and its emits using GIs technology to reduce
carbon dioxide emission.
 There researcher teams tracked down the major site of carbon dioxide production and how it
occurs and created a geographical map.
 Also look at the major development routes in those areas and the sources from the factories.
 The data collected could be used to create web site through the ARCIMS software in GIs.
 Data contacts are stored in a database and the site via a map-based section.
 Traditional web page complies relatively statistical data and related Carbon dioxide website,
Terrestrial maps and shnshots of regional.

Figure 04
 Dss contains several analysis methods that allow members of the research teams to
browse, query, analyze and download data regarding carbon dioxide generation and
sequestration in the poor partnership region.
 And in the use of GIS by the researchers,
• Investigate attributes of individual features or groups of features and their
spatial relationship to other features.
• Query the underlying data to analyze the region and export selected data
for manipulation in other surface.
• Examine the nature of the data through thematic maps.

More plastic contaminating are increase in sea surface and bottom of the sea. These
plastics occur in varying chemical composition. The most commonly micro plastic
pe,pp,pvc which all breakdown under the influence sea-body.

 We can identify high risks of marine microplatic pollution due to their spatial and temporal
distribution. This map represent how many plastic concentration in risk area and use ArcGIS
tools for identify these areas. This ArcGIS map shows high pollutants marine areas
These are ,
• North And South Pacific Marine
• Atlantic Marine

 The proposed GIS is able to intergrade many different types of marine pollution survey data
use to,
• Multiband Sonar Systems [MBSS]
• Echo sounder And Side Scan Sonars Systems [SSS]

 These sensors are also supports direct 2D and 3D visualization in the form of thematic layers

STUDY AREA OF INDIA

When soil pollutant is big issue of nowdays.GIS is the mostly used recognize which
areas have occurred soil pollution.

Figure 06

FIGURE 6, is the maps and images are specific areas in India.

 Integration Of Spatial And Attribute Database.

• The spatial and the attribute database generated are integrated for the creation of spatial distribution maps of
selected soil quality parameters like.
1.Bulk Density
2.Moisture Content
3.Organic Matter
4.Ph Value
5.Ec
6.Sulpates
7.Calcium
8.Magnisum
9.Carbon

 Soil quality index

• The soil quality data [attribute] is linked to the sampling location [spatial] in arc GIs and maps showing spatial
distribution were created to easily identify the variation in concentrations of the above parameters in the soil.

Figure 07

• The Figure 7 represented PH value in soil of the specific region in the India.
It is get in the specific location of the India. Arc GIs tools use to created this soil
map. And it is include buffer zones and clip to overlying specific area .This arc GIs
map useful for identify what areas are high risk in the specific Ares in India.
