How to Use Google Classroom 

Before you begin​, make sure that your account has your 
English name.  

If​ you need to change your name, follow the steps below. 

How to change your name 


For example, you could change from "Lisa Brown" at [email protected] to "Lisa 
Jones" at [email protected].  

EX) Stella 1 Kim or Joe Lee

​ hange your name from the Gmail app. You must use a 
computer. 

1. On your computer, open ​Gmail​. 


2. In the top right, click Settings Settings.  

3. Click the Accounts and Import or Accounts tab. 

 
 
 

4. Under "Send mail as," click Edit info. 

5. Enter the name you want to show when you send messages. 
6. At the bottom, click Save changes. 

 
 

Your first step is to sign into Google Classroom 


1. Go to ​classroom.google.com​ and click Go to Classroom. 

 
2. Enter your username and click Next. 

 
3. Enter your password and click Next. 

 
4. If there is a welcome message, read it and click Accept. 

 
5. Click Get Started. 

 
 

Next, Join your classes as a student 


How to join a class 
Join a class with a class code—each class has four class codes. Be sure to 
check your class and join each class.  

1. At the top of the c


​ lassroom.google.com​ page, click Add Join class. 

 
2. Enter the class code your teacher gave you and click Join. 
A class code consists of 6 or 7 letters or numbers. For example, hjhmgrk or 
g5gdp1.

Finally, view your classes! 
How to look at your classes. 
1. After you join, you will have a main page with four classes by going to the 
classroom.google.com​ page.  

2. Click on the class you want and then click classwork at the top of the page.

3. There, you can see your assignments by clicking on any of them. Please pay 
attention to teacher directions!
