What is intuition?
Intuition is our innate guidance, our natural ability to understand something without
conscious reasoning. It arises as an inner knowing beyond conscious reasoning, or thoughts.
Our intuition has nothing to do with the mind, or thoughts- and nothing to do with our body’s
reactions, or its expressions.
Intuition arises on its own, when the mind is clear, even for a moment- then we call it a flash
of inspiration.
Our individual energy fields are quantum in nature and always interacting- giving and
receiving information from the time-space reality about us, as well as beyond the physical
realm.
Quantum in nature, our intuition transcends this time-space reality so its information
bypasses the brain (part of this reality) to go directly to our hearts, the core of our being. Only
by virtue of being at heart, that one can gain the capacity to process and package the data
before sending it to the mind. In short, our hearts know what is going to happen, and how
best to respond to changes for the good of all, long before the mind receives-processes how to
deal with the information.
These kinds of fear, or suspicion arises from stored information in the brain, that arises as a
way to protect us from similar traumas- the mind’s game, not intuition.
Intuition is untouched by fear. It arises as a subtle knowing at heart, that has nothing to do
with trying to make the right decision based on whether something feels good or not. In any
case, it is only AFTER one has developed your intuition that you will be able to recognise the
right emotions to invest your attention on.
When it surfaces, the earliest spark of intuition from the heart is emotionally neutral, and
quite easily disregarded when one is unconscious, or distracted by the flood of free and
1
common opinions circulating in mind, and from others. Then, it is up to each alone to
recognise the gentle voice of your intuition, and decide to sit quietly with your spark at heart,
allowing it to grow so you can begin developing a positive emotional response to it.
For example, when a friend called with an invitation to meet, I noticed an inner inkling
arising, and even while the conversation went on, I quietly observed if it felt
like an emotionally neutral whisper. Anxiety was already creeping up- how should I decline
this friend’s seemingly logical expectations? With all honesty and kindness of course. No one
should ever sacrifice their wellbeing for another- no one in need can be of help to any other in
need, yet people still expect every other to sacrifice your own sense of wellbeing to meet
their expectations- and call you selfish when you choose to decline. Enough of that.
It is now quite clear that the adverse feelings that arise each time I choose to say, “no thank
you, that is not for me” were due to memories of how people had reacted poorly when I
declined their invitations, which led to the essentially worthless emotion of guilt, and instead
of making an effort to quell that ego-thought of being selfish, or not a supportive friend, the
unconscious me of the past went towards stubborn remorse, self-blame yet still knowing that
I couldn’t have made a different decision- these mixed feelings were never helpful and led to
more disheartening confusion, even self-blame.
I will no longer get caught up in them. I know a little better now- it is not my job to live up to
anyone’s expectations, and expressly not that of my little old, conditioned ego that never
liked change, never liked not being able to sap life-energy out of me so it could strengthen its
false identity as a deadly proxy to who I truly am. It’s funny now- whenever I follow
intuition, the ego goes berserk, prompting the brain to concoct all kinds of fear-based
thoughts. It’s all right now. The thoughts can come and go as they wish. I have no interest in
them at all- my attention is divinely anchored at heart. From here on, I take courage to follow
my intuition and I am determined to keep honing my ability to listen to its still, impartial,
wisdom.
2. Intuition is beyond words.
The spark of intuition from the heart is non-verbal- it cannot be expressed through thoughts
and words, because the mind does not understand the language of heart’s light, let alone
begin to rationalise its wisdom.
It is only once the mind receives the information from the heart, that it begins to churn
thoughts that harasses us to act, even if that act is not in our highest interest, nor wellbeing.
However, we never have to allow our ego to keep distracting us with its incessant downpour
of fear-based thoughts, plans, ideas and such, to retain its
control over us. Despite the ego’s motley armoury of negative mind-body-thought-emotion-
reaction, we can reclaim control over our own self.
For example, no matter how disinterested we say we are about the romantic notions relating
to Valentine’s Day, when it approaches, most of us are reminded at every turn of what we
should expect if we are truly worthy of the unconditional love that the whole world seeks to
celebrate. It is worse for those who believe we are more conscious than to fall for the tricks
and traps of the illusory self, and its reflections in our world- because after the fact, only we
will know if we are still susceptible to the ego’s deadly delusions.
If only we remained in the stillness at heart, we could avoid the mind’s ploys to draw us
deeper into negativity by extending all sorts of glittery forms to get us to identify with- and
2
relinquish more of our control over to it. Some people spend their entire lifetime not knowing
how to overcome this stage- self-blinding from refusing to stop and actually put the wisdom
of your heart’s light to the test- and experience to own
the profundity of the wisdom: Every relationship is a reflection of the relationship I alone
have accomplished between me, and my Inner Being.
The mind can never mimic intuition. Intuition transcends the mind- it is non-verbal.
Therefore, it serves us well to bear in mind and prove this wisdom to ourselves: Churning
thoughts, vacillating emotions, shattering physical symptoms- all these can only arise from
the ego self and are sure signs that one is not in alignment with your intuition at heart.
Over the years, I have come to see, and fell into this folly myself, too many times not to know
that people can talk about the heart’s immense, infinite power and still not know a thing
about it. There is always a long way to go- life is eternal. While we are here, we can all
resonate with truth at heart, but we cannot know it to use it for our own good unless we
experience it by being mindful to put what we know to the test, instead of habitually,
unconsciously, impulsively react and respond according to the old unhelpful habits of the
false, conditioned self.
Each time an opportunity arises, and opportunities arise every single day, no exceptions- it is
up to each to appreciate your gift from the state of knowing stillness at heart and respond
accordingly. Every other’s wellbeing is our own. Every act of kindness and compassion from
the heart, or otherwise, from the ego self, is doing the same to one’s self. There is no other.
We are all waves in this infinite ocean of pure, positive, intelligent substance of what we call,
love.
No one else can connect with your heart- you alone must get in touch with the phenomenal
power of your own heart’s light. As you proceed along this path, without giving up, a day
will surely come when you see that your ego has stopped trying to mimic intuition- but is
working in harmony heart’s light for the good of all.
4. The rhythm of your heart’s beat changes the instant an intuition is received.
If you would invest some time every day, perhaps even while in the shower, driving, or
having a quiet lunch, to get to know the natural rhythm of your heart’s beats, you’ll soon be
able to hone your ability to recognise the still voice of your intuition.
Although it happens to all of us, this change in the heart’s rhythm is different for different
people. Some will come to realise that their hearts actually “flutter” when a flash of
inspiration is occurring, while others may experience a surge of inexplicable calm. And, still
others may feel an actual presence of positive, peaceful energy in their midst that emerged
from their own hearts.
3
Just practice noticing your heartbeat under different conditions throughout the day until you
are able to recognise the unique change in your heartbeat when you are receiving an intuition.
Failing which, you should be prepared to tend to all sorts of distracting questions that dilute
your faith and determination- and bring about more undesired doubts and dilemmas. In face
of these echoes of the conditioned ego- if you authentically, firmly, honestly stand your
ground and give such replies as, “I don’t know. I can’t explain it, but I need to do it,” then it’s
most likely, you are well intent on following through with a genuinely received, or
‘downloaded’ intuitive guidance.
The mind simply cannot fathom why it needs to be done, or by what means but if you allow
it, its thoughts and opinions, logic and reasoning can cause you to deflect precious attention-
and action from actually following through- leading you to another cycle of missing the
mark.
Infinite Wisdom has the masterplan, that is unknown, and will never be known to the mind,
so all one can do is to keep going along, one hunch at a time until you arrive at the point of
fulfilment, then we hear the faithful say such things as, “…beyond my wildest dreams,” or
“…never imagined it would turn out so brilliantly.”
All such expressions are evidence that these things can happen. The keys are to know the
voice of intuition, let go of all doubts and fears, and completely trust and respect your own
intuition, or heart’s light- your-soul.

Exercises to get to know your intuition
1. Practice quieting the mind all day long, and connect with your intuitive guidance
at heart before it reaches the brain;
2. If you have a question, relax into a calm mood, then ask your heart with knowing,
with quiet, firm trust- so once you’ve posed the question, you are not waiting, or
worrying, but just knowing the answer will come at the right time and place;
3. Sit quietly, put your hand on your heart and begin getting to know your heart’s
unique rhythm: Notice the normal pace of its beats, how they feel, and sound
until it becomes easier for you to know when its rhythm changes during an
intuitive spark, or download;
Things to remember
Intuition is quantum in nature, so the answer can come before you ask a question;
If not, get on with the day, trusting that the answer will come and on time;
Do not fall in with doubts, fear, and frets- stay fully unattached to the outcome;
When the answer comes, often when you least expect it, or have almost forgotten all about,
you are the only one who will know if you received your intuition’s answer.
Do not rush to do anything you think you should, or feel compelled to do;
Stop and calmly, quietly get a feel for that thought, or urge- is it fear based, or a quiet
knowing without words? Did you notice a change in your heart’s rhythm?
Take your time to get a feel for it until you become familiar with what a genuine intuition
feels like to you. Do not give up- keep honing your intuition every day, particularly when
times seem challenging and you will soon know through your own experience, when to
follow your own, unfailing intuition.
No matter how reasonable, or highly recommended by top experts, if that thing everyone says
is such a great idea, does not gel with your intuition, inexplicable gut feeling, your hunch,
take your time to decide: Heart’s light, or what’s not.
Sometimes, in the middle of a fine day, perhaps while making great progress on a project,
something goes wrong- do you react according to habit, automatically begin perceiving
things negatively and push away the day’s pleasantries, or stop to shift your perception to
align with that of your intuition at heart?
The sense of intuition is always a calm, empowering knowing that all is well, but no one who
is choosing to identify with some limited state of ego-mind, can ever gain access to your
intuition. Each must choose- surrender more power to ego-mind, or use every opportune
moment to nurture earnest appreciation for your Inner Guide. Positive energy always feels
encouraging, enlivening, uplifting, and negative energy always draining, downing,
dispiriting. Negative energy is part of the contrived, illusory realm- subsisting only by the
power of your attention on it.
You cannot worry about the worst and expect the best at the same time;
5
We applaud positive people in our world because they reflect the possibilities of our true
selves- lost in euphoria, we lose sight of our little, limited selves for the while, but too soon,
return to our senses, to the ego-mind.
Then, those who are identify with the ego-mind, that is, people who still believe that they are
their egos will inevitably come to detest, envy, or resent the success of others- adding to the
ego’s cycle of lack in their consciousness.
Remaining misidentified as the ego, they react to every other’s seeming success with self-
blame, guilt, antagonism- the momentum of these ill feelings can manifest as all sorts of dis-
eases. If you can somehow resonate with this, then know also, that the choice to shift one’s
perspective is always open to you.
In order to proceed, you need to determine to relax, clear the mind, and make a firm intention
to stop reacting, or giving away your power to your ego’s negative mind-set. This is what is
meant by keeping your sovereignty. Poised in sovereignty, your response can only be of
genuine calm and compassion, not wishing to retaliate by hurting any other in the slightest. It
helps to know that every other is a reflection of yourself. Let no further outbursts of those
who know not what they are doing to themselves, what they are creating for themselves, in
their own conditions, taint your state of harmony with your Inner Guide.
Fear attracts what you are afraid of, and fearless faith removes it;
All that is out there, was first birthed in here. Nothing on earth can taint the positive state of
one who wants nothing from anyone or anything out there, who truly knows the truth enough
to deliberately, steadily embody your light at heart no matter what is happening out there.
The task is not to split your energy.
The opportunities to own your truth through your own experience will continue to stream into
your life’s conditions while you are in the physical form. At times, in seemingly
unfathomable monster waves, but the outcomes for holding true to your heart’s light is
unfailingly, ineffably jubilant.
Do not waste a moment to judge, criticise, or condemn any other in this world, for all,
including the ego self, are reflections. Let everyone hold their own opinions, knowing there is
no need to adopt or resist any opinion out there. No need to give away any more energy to
those who quote, brimming with ego-pride, or mimic all kinds of negative pronouncements
from all sorts of common authoritative figures whether from the news, their choice of
readings, and media channels. To every little of these out there and in mind, say, “No, thank
you. This is absolutely not for me.”
