WHAT IS IT_________________________________
Planning Simple Products to Sell

ly
On
Young boys and girls like you can be potential entrepreneurs. Use your

m
creativity and resourcefulness, as well as your skill, to create simple products to
sell. To ensure that your products will be sold, you need to make a simple survey,

ea
whether in your school or in your neighborhood to identify the needs of your

tT
potential customers

A simple survey can be an interview with some classmates in your school if

en
you intend to sell in school or residents in the community. But since social
gatherings are limited nowadays, survey can be done indifferent ways like creating
a poll in facebook, etc. m
op
After knowing the results of the survey, look around to find out if what they
l
ve

need is already available in the community or in school. If it is not yet available, or

if it is available but it is not enough to meet the demand, then make a decision to
De

create the product needed and sell it to potential customers.

Producing Simple Products to Sell

he
yt

Once you have determined the needs of the people in your school or
db

community and have identified the product you want to produce, you can now plan
your budget, materials, equipment needed and the schedule of operation.
te

If you do not have the skill to produce a product, you can either buy the
es

product from its primary source where it is cheaper or buy the product in bulk or
in wholesale, then repack it in smaller quantities for retailing.
aT

Simple products like roasted peanuts, varieties of cookies , pumpkin seeds,

corn chips, cakes, cupcakes, polvoron, candies like pastillas, yema and varieties of
ph

hard candies, accessories like bracelets, necklaces, headbands and the like which
Al

are popular among students in schools, are saleable items. School items like
writing tools, pencil cases, writing pads, and erasers are needed by pupils so these
items are also saleable not only in school but also in the community.

One of the slogans in marketing today is “If you do not have a market, create
one.” This means create a demand for your product through good salesmanship,
and good quality product at a reasonable price.
