Installation
The gate valves are designed for a max. differential pressure Pressure relief valve
equal to the working pressure.
If the difference specified below between the operating pressure
upstream and the back pressure downstream of the closure is
exceeded, it is recommended that the gate valves be fitted either with
a bypass or equipped with a spur or bevel gear drive for ease of
operation. These have been based on manual efforts to DIN 3220,
sheet 2.

If a bypass is required, a shut-off valve DN 25 should be used as a
bypass valve.

When ordering, please state whether a pressure relief valve is to be


provided, or whether excess pressures are to be released via a by-
pass or a relief hole upstream in the body.

CAUTION:
The pressure relief valve must not be welded directly to the
connecting branch (part 131.2), but must be connected to it via an
interconnection pipe (part 710) vertically upward and outside the
insulation. The minimum distance to the insulation is 200 mm.
