ABSTRACT

Curfew implementation at the grassroots level and the success of its

implementation is seen to be the crucial role of the police, the barangay

officials and the community. The main purpose of the study is to assess the

implementation of curfew hours on minors in Barangay Patay, Sagada,

Mountain Province. Specifically determine the: (1) level of implementation of

curfew hours on minors; (2) degree of seriousness of problems affecting the

implementation of curfew hours on minors; and (3) level of effectiveness of the

strategies in implementing curfew hours on minors. The results show that

curfew hours on minors are moderately implemented. It was observed that the

degree of seriousness affecting the implementation of curfew on minors in

barangay Patay, Sagada is moderately serious. It can be perceived that

strategies are moderately effective. It is perceived that conducting patrol and

inspection in the community during and after curfew hours is an effective way

to ensure implementation.. The implementation of the curfew on minors in

Barangay Patay, Sagada is moderately effective which connotes that law

enforcers’ strategies are still somehow challenged.
