ETHICS - ASSIGNMENT

Question: Is an indirect voluntary act still voluntary?

Answer:

Indirect voluntary act is still classified as voluntary act since an action is driven by its own will but
the consequences is somehow regrettable or the result of the action is not literally intended for that
purpose. The example for this is when a person light up a candle and left it unattended before going
to bed, causing fire all over the house. The act of causing a fire is indirectly voluntary since the event
can be foreseen but it is not his/her intention why he/she light up a candle.
