1. Introduction
MoBike was designed to offer motorcycle enthusiasts and motoclub members a
simple and immediate way to follow their passion.

This Android app makes possible to bikers to plan rides, organize events and share
their experience using a single tool, which is always in their pocket!

This manual is designed to guide users through all features and to instruct them on
how to use our app in the best way possible.

Every feature is demonstrated in a different section, while the subsections show the
details.

2. Initial Settings

2.1 Google Account. MoBike uses your Google


Account ( the same you use to download app from
the Play Store) to authenticate
Users. So, when you open the app for the first time,
you will be prompted to choose one of the e-mail
addresses you use on your device.

2.2 Registration. Then, you will be asked to choose a


Nickname and to describe your bike model. From this
time on, you will be a member of our community!

2.3 GPS. Our app uses GPS localization to track your
position, in order to let you use all of its features. If
the GPS is not enabled, MoBike will recognize it and
will ask you to enable it in your device’s Settings.

3. Route Recording and POIs
3.1 General description. The first feature you
encounter opening the application is the Route
recording.
In the “Record” tab you can record a Route live, look
for Points Of Interest near to you and add new ones.
There are three important buttons: the “plus” one,
the “lens” one and the big green “start” button.

3.2 New POI. When you click on the plus button you
can add a new Point Of Interest which can be you a
Viewpoint, a Gas Station, a Restaurant or something
else. If you add a POI during a recording, it will be
associated with the Route. If you are not recording, it
will be saved and displayed on the map from that
moment on.

3.3 POI Search. When you click on the lens button
you will see the closest POIs. You can choose one of
them and display it on the map in the Record tab.

3.4 Recording. When you're ready to start recording a


Route, you can tap on the green “start” button in the
lower side of the screen. This will make their
recording start. During the recording the app shows
you the total distance and duration of the recording.

3.5 Pausing and Stopping. At any time during the
recording you can pause it by clicking the orange
“pause” button.
When you want to stop the recording you just need to
tap on the red “stop” button.

3.6 Route summary. When you stop the recording,


you can see the Route and decide whether to save it
or not.

If you want to save the Route, fill in all the fields, then
tap “save”.
You can also choose to delete the recorded Route and
return to the Record tab.

3.7 Route review. If You save the Route, you can rate
it and leave a comment to let other users have more
information about it.

3.8 Route sharing. At last, you can share your Route
on any social network and visualize it on our website.
After that, you can record a new Route tapping on the
button at the bottom of the page.

4. Routes

4.1 General description. By tapping on the Route tab


in the upper part of the screen, you can start to use
our second feature. In this tab you can view all the
routes recorded and created by MoBike users. Every
entry of this list shows the name of the route, the
duration in time, the distance and the nickname of
the creator. The color on the right side of every Route
shows the Type of the route: brown is Mountain,
Yellow is Hills, Green is Plain, Blue is Seaside.
Instead of visualizing all the routes, you can display
only the routes recorded and created by you.

You can tap on the lens button in the bottom right of


the screen to search Routes.

4.2 Route Search. When you search routes, you can


choose a starting location, a destination a length
interval and a type.
Then tap “Search” to display the results.

4.3 Route details. To display the details of a Route
you just tap on one entry of the list.
In the detail you can see the map of the Route, the
name, the distance, a brief description and other
details like difficulty, bends coefficient, type, starting
and destination points, creator nickname and reviews
gave by users.

4.4 Route reviews. You can write a review for a Route


to give your opinion about it and a rate. Then you will
see the average rate calculated from all rates given by
other users. You will be able to edit or delete your
review at any time.

5. Events

5.1 General description. The third feature of this app


is the event management. In the tab Events you can
create an event or visualize events that other users
have created.

Every entry of the Event list shows the name of the


event, the date and time, the starting location, the
number of users that joined (green), were invited
(green) and declined (red), and the creator.

The color on the left side of an Event shows whether


you joined the event ( green), you were just invited
(yellow), or you declined it (red) .

You can create a new event tapping on the “plus”


button in the bottom right of the screen

5.2 Event Creation. When you create a new event you


must give it a name, a description, a starting location,
date and time and you can invite other users by their
nicknames
You can select a route to follow by tapping on the
button” pick route” at the bottom of the screen.

5.3 Event details. When you select an Event from the
list, the app will display its details.
On top of the screen you can see whether you
accepted or declined the invite to it and you can
change your choice.
Tapping on the button “view route details”, you can
see the details of the route associated with the event.

If you tap on “invited”, you will be showed the list of


user that were invited to the Event.
