Royal Decree 55/2019 Promulgating The Statistics and Information Law

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
Royal Decree 31/2012 Establishing the National Centre for Statistics and Information,
and the System of the National Centre for Statistics and Information promulgated by Royal Decree
40/2014,
Article I
Article II
The chairman of the board of directors of the National Centre for Statistics and Information shall
issue the executive regulation and the decisions necessary for implementing the provisions of the
attached law after the approval of the board of directors of the centre, and he shall also issue the
National Data Strategy after the approval of the board of directors of the centre and the Council of
Ministers, and until they are issued the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to operate
to the degree that they do not contradict with the provisions of the attached law.
Article III
The Statistics Law promulgated by Royal Decree 29/2001 is hereby repealed, as well as every
provision contrary to the attached law or in conflict with its provisions.
Article IV
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the day following
the date of its publication.
