Abtract:: Design and Devlopment of Material Detection and Separation

This document describes the design and development of a material detection and separation system. It aims to reduce human effort in separating metals by automating the process. The system uses a metal sensor to detect different materials and separate components of mixtures. The project is divided into six phases including literature review, design calculations, drawings preparation, structural analysis, fabrication, and testing. The working involves mounting all components on a plywood base. Simulation of critical parts is performed to analyze equivalent stress and deformation. The developed apparatus aims to efficiently separate materials in small scale industries with future scope of separating multiple materials simultaneously.

We express since thanks to our guide
Mr. V.S. Gondhkar who guided us during
the entire session of the project. High
evolutions & suggestions have helped us
enormously towards the completion of
this project.
We are also thankful to the entire
mechanical engineering department for
making available all the required
resources & co-operation in our project
 Equivalent Stress work and also for their constant guidance
and a constructive criticism throughout
our project work.
FUTURE SCOPE:
a) By modified this apparatus and
programming we can separate
multiple metals materials /non-
metallic materials at same time.

b) We can collect magnetic materials

by providing magnetic belt.

c) We can detect multiple type of

material from garbage.
