Training Matrix On A Three-Day District Training On The Administration of Multi-Factored Assessment Tool

I- RATIONALE
All children are able to be part of their community and develop a sense of
belonging and become better prepared life in the community as children and adults.
Thus, inclusive education in the regular classroom meet the pupils ,individual needs.
It allows children especially the learners with educational needs to receive a free and
appropriate education with non-disabled learners in the regular classroom.
Therefore, the Multi-Factored Assessment Tool (MFAT) is important, a screening
tool intended to gather information on learners strength, needs, learning styles and
other educational concerns. It is a one-time assessment administered to Grade 1
learners enrolled in the regular schools who may exhibit developmental advancement
or delays or with manifestations of learning disability. It is an activity-based
assessment covering the five domains of learning namely;(a) cognitive domain (b)
communication domain (c) socio-emotional domain (d) motor domain (e) daily living
skills domain.
II- OBJECTIVES
In response to Deped Order No.29 s. 2018 (POLICY ON THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF MULTI-FACTORED ASSESSMENT TOOL) and in
connection with the full implementation of Inclusive Education (IE) this district will
conduct the DISTRICT TRAINING OF GRADE 1 TEACHERS ON THE
ADMINISTRATION OF MULTI-FACTORED ASSESSMENT TOOL.
1. Capacitate Grade 1 teachers on the administration of Multi-Factored
Assessment Tool based on the guidelines stipulated in Deped Order
No.2,s.2018
2. Design appropriate instructional intervention programs based on the needs
of the learners with special educational needs inside the classroom.
3. Craft different assessment materials to be used in the administration of
MFAT: and
4. Conduct actual assessment to Grade 1 pupils.
