Name of the Activity ORIENTATION ON THE UTILIZATION OF THE KINDERGARTEN HOME-
BASED LEARNING TOOLKIT
Date: MAY 27, 2021
Venue: Caloloma Elementary School
Participants: School Head, Kindergarten adviser, Parents
Description: The Kindergarten Home-Based Learning Toolkit is the foundation of
the new normal education for 5-year old learners. The COVID 19
pandemic has caused the educational system to shift into a learning
modality that enables children to learn in the comforts of their homes
without a teacher to teach them, instead a parent or guardian who
will facilitate every activity. In this regard, this tool will play an
important role to guide parents on how to be the newly hired Kinder
teacher.
Objectives: The objectives of orientation are the following:
 To introduce to the parents, the Kindergarten Home-Based
Learning Toolkit
 To orient parents the content of the toolkit
 To encourage parents to use the toolkit for home-based
learning
Highlights: - Parents were able to scan through the toolkit
- They were able to suggest effective ways on how to facilitate
learning in their homes
Post Activity Evaluation - The activity was successful. Parents have already the ideas on
how to effectively teach their children.
Methodology The activity started with an opening prayer and singing of the
Philippine National Anthem led and conducted by the adviser, Ma.
Diesalyn B. Voz. An opening message and Statement of Purpose by
the TIC, Maam Elisa E. Balbuena stating that parents faced difficulty in
the teaching and learning process. The orientation process was
facilitated by the adviser by discussing the learning toolkit. The school
also distributed the toolkits to the parents and they pledged to follow
and practice the suggestions given by the toolkit.

Management of the The activity was managed by the Kindergarten adviser with the help
Activity of the teachers. Protocols on health and safety were strictly followed.
Logistics Arrangements Hard copies of toolkits were distributed to the parents
Recommendations  Encourage 100% participation of the parents
