Logotype Logo Symbol

As outlined in the brief, PSG’s new identity is an evolution of their existing brand. Therefore some aspects of the
current logo have been taken forward to develop a new look and identity.

The typographic form of the logo is retained but with the addition of a more recognisable logo symbol. The
logotype has been constructed and customised using Uni Sans. This font exhibits legible characters with a contrast
of both soft and hard edges. The use of lowercase gives an approachable and more contemporary feel and enables
a balanced appearance as both the left and right-hand characters have a descender.

The circle to the left of the old logotype has been developed to create a more unique logo symbol which can be
interpreted in several ways. The grey portion of the symbol represents “Consult Educate Motivate” and the green
segment represent “Excel” which make up the four components of the company’s tagline. Also, the green segment
can be interpreted as a percentage or a visual representation of data analysis, which furthermore convey the idea of
the interaction of different elements: assessing risk; analysing processes; providing training, which equal achieving

The symbol has been placed at the top right to avoid a symmetrical look. This gives more interest to the layout and
avoids the regimented feel of symmetry. It also draws the eye across the letters to read the company name.

The logo colour palette is based on the blue and grey that were inherited from the existing logo with the addition
of green as an accent colour. This achieves a more striking and memorable colour palette. The silver foil of the old
Logo Symbol Logotype logo has been replaced by grey and the current blue has been replaced with a darker blue. The contrast of blue
and green are used throughout the PSG identity to draw attention to different elements. The grey is more neutral
and is used to give balance to the palette.

The emphasis of the new identity is to enable PSG to become more visually recognisable, which is particularly
important as they begin to develop relationships with clients outside Australia. This visual recognition is achieved
through the consistent application of the new brand throughout the company’s printed and digital marketing
materials. The key role of the new corporate identity and its application is to build a brand that conveys a
professional company to their existing and future clients.
