Go Food Group: gives our body heat and energy; rice, bread, corn, noodles, potatoes (carbo);
cake, candy, jam, honey, ice cream (sugar)
Grow Food Group: repairs and build our body cells and tissues; rich in protein; egg, meat, fish
Glow Food Group: regulate and protect our body; rich in vitamins and mineral

PHYSICAL EXERCISE
Exercise: any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and
wellness
Aerobics exercise: uses large muscle groups and causes the body to use more oxygen than it
would while resting; goal is to increase cardiovascular endurance
Anaerobic exercise: includes strength and resistance training, can firm, strengthen, and increase
muscle mass, and improve bone density
Physical exercise is important for maintaining physical fitness
Running: popular form of exercise
Excessive exercise or over training: when a person exceeds their body’s ability to recover from
strenuous exercise

o Involves gathering information about yourself to assist you in making a decision about a
