Introduction

Genesis Energy Limited are leaders in Electricity and other electrical solutions. They have one stop
Electrical solutions to cater to the varied needs of their multiple customers like residential, industrial,
Trade Connections, Bottled Gas facilities and many more. The products provided by the company are
not entirely unqiue but it’s their services that make them different from their counterparts. They work
on the principal of providing Total Quality Management or Kaizen which helps them to be better
managers and thus provide effective one stop solutions to their customers. The firm is committed to
delivering greater value to its stakeholders while retaining its track record in the global economy. This
report will address performance-related efforts, as well as the methods through which the firm
intends to measure the initiatives' success. Aside from that, various culture-based efforts will be
explored, which will aid in strengthening the culture as well as maintain the success of the company in
a positive way.

Initiatives that are linked to performance

Genesis believes in convenience. They have divided their products in four major segment:
 Home Solutions- (Industrial and Residential)
 Products- Electricity, Bottled Gas, Natural Gas, Dual Fuel, Electrical Vehicles .
 Rural Areas- Farcare, Farm CO, Move farms Solar Energy and Farmlands.
The company has an impressive lists of clients that it maintains through excelled services. Genesis,
wants to improve the safety and ease of electricity and related technology for users, employees, and
the environment. The firm intends to set performance targets, policies, and theory to assist
employees in improving their performance on a regular basis, and to communicate the results to
relevant employees and stakeholders (DeNisi & Murphy, 2017). Customers and investors value trust
and a positive reputation, which is reflected in the company's strong financial performance. The
services are varied and comprehensive and meet the needs of the clients and customers through
providing them with fool proof methods which make then chose the company again and gain without
the need to go to any other company. The following are some of Genesis’s significant initiatives
towards boosting performance:
Fostering training and development-

Training allows a company to invest in its employees' growth, learning, and development. Following
the McKinsey 7s Model Framework, which is intended to assist business owners in determining how
professionally managed their company is and where improvements can be made. The seven aspects of
strategy, structure, systems, style, staff, talents, and shared values are all listed here (Alshaher, 2013).
It usually guarantees that team members have enough access to information and opportunities that
will assist them achieve higher levels of performance. The company does this by hosting a multi-day
leadership conference for senior executives from throughout the world to review strategies in future.
Apart from that, it hosts leadership and development conferences for both leaders and employers at
various locations. The programs take into account management conversations, outside perspectives,
networking, and team building. As a result, the investments in the frontline managers' training and
development program assists them in augmenting work related skills.

Changes in the framework and shareholder engagement-

Peter Drucker believes in conveying goals through employees i.e. giving them support and strength, by
involving them in the process. This in-turn increase their motivation and confidence. (Caramela, 2018).
Therefore the employees at Genesis as seen as active participants while contributing their ideas and
comments. The employee feedback survey is an important tool used in this regard. (Genesis, 2021).
Aside from that, the reward structure should be examined, as this will aid in future changes to ensure
suitable outcomes. Fixed rewards include cash-salary, superannuation/pension, and short-term and
long-term incentives, as well as numerous other enhancement schemes. Genesis’s human resource
management strategy is guided by the philosophy of "Superior Quality" (Mead, 2020). employees are
then rewarded for their hard work through bonuses and incentives which make them an integral part
of the organization.

Measurement of Performance-Related Initiatives' Success-


The organization runs an employee feedback survey to measure success, ensuring that employees
provide input on their experiences and expectations (Cappelli and Tavis, 2016). The poll takes into
account opinions on a variety of topics, including future visions, decision-making porches, and
teamwork. According to the annual report (2019), more than 1500 employees expressed their
opinions, with the firm’s overall engagement index score maintaining stable at 74 percent, two
percentage points higher than the world norms database 2019, suggesting performance growth. We
can summarize these as under:

Initiatives in the field of culture

Unbarred and secure electrical supply and smooth operations, hardware flawless performance and
adhering to ethical standards are the important norms of culture at Genesis. Genesis has an ongoing
safety culture improvement program that aims to maintain and develop awareness of a safe
workplace for its employees. The organization is dedicated to cultivating a culture in which employees
are both inspired and encouraged to work and provide advantages to the users. We can show this as

The establishment of a culture of innovation-


According to Kurt Lewin's theory, the primary approach to managing change is based on a three-step
process (unfreeze, change, and refreeze). Therefore the company is always striving towards success
through innovations. This is the result that the company has clients in all fields like Accounting,
Business, Finance, Medical, Engineering and the list goes on. It gives a specialized solution to all the
companies which makes it a referred choice when it comes to innovation.

The company is also considering the following project to strengthen its corporate culture:

The firm's commitment to diversity National and regional characteristics, according to the Hofstede
model, contribute to an organization's culture, which has the potential to influence employee
behavior (Hofstede Model, 2017). The company is dedicated to creating a worldwide workplace where
employees can achieve their career goals and unleash their inner potential. As a result, they will be a
part of a value-based culture. As a result, Genesis defines diversity in the fullest sense, including
gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs. Aside from that, the company maintains a
code of responsible business practices that outlines its corporate governance strategy. Employees
must be held accountable for adhering to local legislation as well as internationally recognized
industry codes. Genesis is reliant on having the right person in the right job, and it provides a secure
and rewarding environment that is vital to talent retention. The standards and KPIs are maintained as
follows:

Evaluation of the success of cultural initiatives-

In order to measure the goal of diversity, the company must examine a culture of inclusion in which
employees are appreciated and valued. Employee workforce has expanded quite radically owing to
diversity in an organization. By establishing an innovative culture, employees' abilities and efficiency
have improved, improving their quality of life, and there has been a 17 percent increase in net profit
from the previous year (Perreault & Lamont, 2020).

Conclusion

Genesis Energy aspires to improve its performance and culture in order to recruit a larger workforce to
the company. The enterprise's experienced and talented personnel will drive continual improvement,
which is critical for long-term growth. The personnel here use working methods that improve
corporate efficiency. The paper has concentrated on analyzing important abilities in the domains of
performance and cultures in this regard. The firm creates a flexible but ethically firm environment
which makes it easy to operate in while bringing growth of both the employees and the organization.
